@amWhy: respect mathematics, Oct 31 is the birthday of Karl Weierstrass :)

@epic_math Nice! Cheers to Karl!

@amWhy I quoted one of your chat message in this post on meta: Would a chatroom for new users be feasible?
I wanted to check with you whether it's ok - I can remove that part if you prefer.
I am not really sure whether that question might bring something useful, but since this topic has been mentioned a few times, getting some input from the community seemed like a reasonable step.
I meant to write "one of your chat messages" (plural) - sorry for the typo.

@MartinSleziak No problem @MartinSleziak. That's fine. Thanks for checking in on it.

Thanks for the response!

i'm ready for halloween. gonna throw candy at kids this year.
trick or yeet

5:09 PM
Throw some Weierstrass function at them.
They will become future Eulers.

@epic_math Honestly, I had a professor for two courses as an undergrad, who handed out books on Halloween!
She'd spend $300-$400 on books, and ask students to donate a favorite book from their childhood, appropriate for various ages, and if she had any left-overs, she'd donate them to school libraries!

5:39 PM
@amWhy get that woman an Unsung Hero badge

@Integrand Indeed!
