Person who told you that is either supersmart or crazy. First year here is definetly not a revision of +2 concepts.
@HrishabhNayal Start with learning logic and algorithms, then try to implement them in a simple language (like python)
Don't start with C or Java, because then you'll learn the language rather than learn the algorithms and concepts associated with coding
