Vote what you think - there is no right or wrong.
I'm not a mod here and not an American so I'm leery of expressing my own opinions with the somewhat odd electrical code requirements.
But I know most US codes don't allow hiding of things like junctiuon boxes. Complelty buried is against code; I just don't know if "behind XYZ" is the same.
Best to err on the side of caution than to be tripped up later.
IMO the way the question is written is quite "flow of mind" and could benefit from a tidy.
The root question seems to be "Can I have an electrical junction box behind a panel of a cubicle"
I'm guessing that the Cubicle is a low wall that is not part of the building - so its classed as furniture and can be moved.
OH RIGHT yeah its unlikely to have cubicles in the home so probably off topic for that reason.
And its closed.
That was my thinking. Thank you for the feedback.
Curious it only took three VTC.
Hopefully the user gets enough info out of the comments to help them
I suspect the new user will not come back.
My first answer on my site was utter garbage, I've been tenmpted to delete it. But on the other hand it shows how much I've improved.
And I've used it as an example in the past to a new user who was unhappy with stuff being closed.

I get it. My first questions weren't the greatest either and not well received. Hopefully they stick around and learn the process. It is easy to get discouraged though.

Exactly - "Blah is a new user, be nice" is a great way to show that.
gatekeeping is awful.

@Criggie It's been 3 votes to close for a year or more...
Here's a new user question that definitely deserved to be closed. There's no way to answer that without more details. I try to give a new person 24 hours to respond to questions, but so many people stomp off in a huff if you ask for more details that sometimes, it's just not worth it...

okay it seems variable number of votes required, some questions need 5
