I bought 1/2 cord of firewood, hoping it would be dryer than the unprocessed wood I have from my land, but it's still not as dry as I wish.
I want wood that will quickly grow to a very hot fire.
I also use super-compressed sawdust logs (30,000 psi) from Home Fire for overnight, because they last a long, long time; I look to real wood for the times I want a lot of heat quickly, and don't need it to last.
I want to burn a very hot fire every day or so to clear out the chimney, and when we first get up and it's cold to warm up the space.
It's a big space (700 sq. ft., and the ceiling is 13 ft. in the center) so it takes a lot of heat to get it warm.
No questions here, just needed to gripe somewhere...
