@SteveJackson PRetty good although slightly disappointing - a $170 dinner for four should be flawless
@BMitch It was damn hard to find answers I hadn't already voted on :)
woo hoo!
but my BIL's burger was undercooked, service was a bit sluggish and my filet was slightly tough around the edges (bit over for med rare)
@TheEvilGreebo I agree. Sorry it wasn't better.
my local Chinese joint was friendly as always

in march we think we'll go to Ruths Criss
(Every 6 months we go out together for b-day dinner. BIL and wife are both in Pctober, MIL and I are both in March)
I have found a universal truth in Mexican places - if you're the only person there, your food will take forever. If it's packed - you get served within 10 minutes of sitting down.
@TheEvilGreebo That's fun
@SteveJackson they have to turn the grill back on for one person
@BMitch Maybe. But it seems like < 20% full is trouble. I figured everyone went on break or got cut loose.
an empty restaurant during lunch/dinner = bad sign
Thanks for the votes guys!

Q: Best way to cut metal siding for soffit vents?

Kirk HingsI need to add a bunch of soffit vents to my eves, and I have (decorative?) metal siding such as in the picture. I need to do this quickly in the next few weeks before winter. What's the best way to make these metal cuts accurately and screen the vent panels into the metal sheeting? I think my q...

@AarthiDevanathanΨ Did anyone comment and point them at Greebo's entry?
I wonder...could you ask the question in proxy on diy.SE and then Greebo (or whomever else has done this) could answer it? Then post a comment on their blog with a link to the question? Is that abusing the system?
The question I'm referring to is at the end of the post: "If anyone has gone through something similar, please help me out! We already bought this tool which actually works pretty well for getting the top layers off:
Now we just need some advice on getting the black goo off the wood with minimal damage. I've heard steam, hot water and vinegar, but I'm looking for real life solutions, so send them my way! "
Ok I missed that bit -I'll reply
and responded

@TheEvilGreebo - you didn't include a link to the site itself :(
The blog has that doesn't it?
It does, but a direct link to the site wouldn't hurt
I shill for no one! (unless you pay me something ... or the wind is blowing west... or I feel like it ...)
