The first problem is that you may be using the wrong cable and breakers. NEC calls for 2 20Amp small appliance circuits in the kitchen, to accomplish this you'll need to switch to 20Amp breakers and #12 wire. The next problem. You'll have to pull new wire anyway, if you want to hook up GFCI rec...

Yep, but wooden ones are pretty common. A well constructed brick or stone wall can last centuries - no contest there.

A wood one is pretty simple to build - a rubber one... less straight forward

and I suspect that dry/sun rot would hit the rubber sooner than wet rot on the PT

dang it I just don't want to focus on this data task...

We want to get people excited about the blog and keep the content fresh, but we also don't want to burn out in the first month.

@SteveJackson very true. i think 2x a week is good 'cause it means there's a steady stream of content, but it's also not so much as to be overwhelming or burning through material.

Good points. I'm hoping we settle down into something like that with regular posting days. It's a community project though, so we're still setting the ground rules.
