@Aaron I made the picture in paint. No, it doesn't really matter. That's just the way I do it, so it's a bit easier to see what's going on.
@Aaron Generator exhaust on A/C unit could be not so good. A/C unit is trying to dump heat, so blowing hot exhaust on it might not be the best plan. Though I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make.

Blog, blog, blog. We need some blogs!
Anybody feel like writing about the advantages and disadvantages of different types of screw drives?

I took some pictures for for my werner ladder
@Tester101 are you editing a bunch of questions?

Yes. I was removing , , and tags.
Wish there was a way to edit questions without pushing them to the front page.
@Aarthi Is there a way to edit questions without bumping them?

negative, sorry boo

5:03 PM
@Aarthi any point in writing a feature request, or is there a reason all edits must bump?

all edits must bump :(
@Tester101 wait, don't we need these for electrical stuff...?

@Aarthi I don't think we need a tag for it. In most cases it's easy enough to tell where they are by the terminology they use. If they really feel like they want to include that information, they can always put it in the question body somewhere, or include it in their profiles.

I dunno; I think maybe this should be put to meta, if it hasn't already.

Q: Do we need tags for different localities?

Tester101Currently there are tags for usa, uk, and canada. Are these tags needed, or should this information be noted in the question body instead?

oh okay.
:) UNTAG AWAY

5:09 PM
@Aarthi you should know by now I don't do things like that without asking on meta first.

@Tester101 always gotta ask, bro

5:33 PM
@Tester101 usually other SE sites 'request' that mass tagging be done on the weekend so it doesn't clutter up the front page

Oops. Sorry. I will do it at a more appropriate time next time.

no worries; once doesn't make a huge diff

ain't no thing but a chicken wing

A: Should I bind the edge of an unbound remnant rug? If so, how do I do so?

Matthew PKYou absolutely should (must) bind the edges. Many consumer rugs are cut to length from a roll stock and bound for sale. Binding the edge is how it transforms from a textile on a roll into a rug. You could do it yourself if you had the requisite equipment and sewing skills but I can't imagine i...

Your wish is my command.

:)
isn't that from EHow?

5:43 PM
Not unless I have some type of telepathic connection with EHow. I just watched the video, and summarized the step.

Oh nice. :D

Should have checked EHow first, could have saved some typing.

ah it's perfect

@Aaron Nice.

I'm DVR'ing the olympics anyway, so I'm getting the delayed delayed coverage. At least until a headline spoils the results for me.

Q: 2012 Moderator Election - Town Hall Chat Digest

Tim StoneThe following is a "digest" version of the 2012 Moderator Election Town Hall Chat. The format, as described on Meta Stack Overflow, is one answer to this question for every question asked in the Town Hall, containing all the candidate's answers to that question. To view the digest chronologicall...

I'd nominate the digest for the bulletin board (paging @chrisf or @Aarthi since Chris seems unpageable)
