We have a new nomination! Please welcome our latest candidate TheSimpliFire!
16:39
@ElectionBot Please don't dominate this chatroom like you've been doing.
@ElectionBot I don't like candidates waiting to the final day to nominate themselves, when they haven't stopped in this chatroom, thus providing too little information, too late, for many users, who might take Sunday off.
17:09
are moderators paid
Elected ♦ moderators is an entirely voluntary role, and they are not paid by Stack Exchange.
Good. I had that creeping suspicion it was only me. ;-)

@ArcticChar sorry, I was unable to calculate your candidate score :(
Maybe it only gives it for candidates.
Or the issue in your case is the chat parent @ArcticChar
17:45
what is my candidate score?
@MattSamuel You are not eligible to nominate yourself in the election as you do not have at least 1000 reputation.
Given that I have almost 53K reputation that seems to be inaccurate.

@Brahadeesh can you also try

how is candidate score calculated
17:50
The 40-point candidate score is calculated this way: 1 point for each 1,000 reputation up to 20,000 reputation (for 20 points); and 1 point for each of the 8 moderation, 6 participation, and 6 editing badges

Oh boy... Okay, have a nice day @ElectionBot :D
user185131
It's no good, @quid throws up hands
Maybe that only works for SO
user185131
17:54
Quite possible, I only have the association bonus on SO.
Well I do have an SO account with 101 reputation. If others don't have SO accounts that theory would explain why it can't calculate their candidate score.
@ElectionBot Who are the current moderators?
who are the current mods
The current 9 moderators are: Asaf Karagila, robjohn, Daniel Fischer, Pedro Tamaroff, davidlowryduda, quid, Aloizio Macedo, Michael Greinecker, Alexander Gruber
It's pretty strict when parsing. Apparently.
17:58
@quid It's quite interesting that they realized that you are a mod though.
@JyrkiLahtonen I guess so! ;D

what a joke! I can get far better answers from Wolfram Alpha and Google!
sorry, I think you're a fraud :(
Slightly off topic...I can't figure out how to remove or edit my own messages. Can anyone explain how that is done?
Oh, I see it now. Nevermind!
@MattSamuel which messages. In chat? You cannot past a certain time.
In chat, yes. Seems to be pretty short, like 2-3 minutes?
@MattSamuel 2mins i guess
@MattSamuel I thought it's five minutes on main or meta to edit comments, likely only 2 minutes on chat.
18:18
@amWhy I believe you're right about comments, but I had no idea about chat. Thanks, and thanks @sai-kartik

Yes.

No.

Either is fine.
@amWhy I don't know it. I assume some user who happens to be a mod on SO brought it here. I do not know why they did that though.
@quid Pretty intrusive idea, whoever is responsible. Don't keep bugging me in "whatever, quid. I've left the room for the time being.
@amWhy I think it was intended as helpful but if we collectively do not like it I assume it can be removed as easy as it came. For the time being I renew my proposal to ignore it. Sorry for the other ping. See you.
@quid ping me when you are free and attentive. I don't want to distract you when you can't afford to be distracted. Of course, this will mean that just because you're free when you ping, I may not be. But I'll be upfront from the get go, to let you know that.
