@FAE Stealth Rock and other entry hazards work really well phazing moves like Roar, Whirlwind, Dragon Tail, and Circle Throw (like you mentioned). It allows a team that normally doesn't hit hard to rack up the damage.

Since entry hazard damage scales off max health rather than doing flat damage.

Essentially, death by a thousand cuts.

@Fluttershy I believe Snorlax is one of those one-chance dealies this time around, unfortunately. There was (is) a snorlax in the pokemon village much later in the game, but there did not seem to be any way to wake him. If you want I can breed you one (or a munchlax)

@FAE I'm breeding for a 5/6 (5 out of 6 perfect IVs) Modest Zorua.

IV breeding involves switching out the breeding pairs for a female with better IVs as often as you can.

And since Zorua has a skewed gender distribution, it's hard to get a female to make progress in the breeding.
