Resistances don't affect status moves, but Poison status moves don't work on Steel, for example.

I was about to also mention Rapid Spin, but then I remembered that it's an actual attack.

It just has such low BP and that nobody uses it as an actual attack, I just forgot it does damage.

@BenBrocka But he has base 120 Special. I was thinking about disguising myself as a Fighting-type with Swords Dance.

I do the Swords Dance while they switch in with a physical wall and blast them with a Night Daze or Dark Pulse.

Then, they switch to a special wall and I counter with a physical attack. Which has been boosted by Swords Dance.

Q: What moves effect the battle environment?

So far I've only managed to get an item from battle after using the move Surf. This knocked down a stone pillar that was in the background and gave me a hard stone, I believe. I have tried a lot of other moves when I see stones, berry trees and sandpiles in the background, but can never get the...

And hits Dark for SE damage, IIRC.

In fact, you can use Xerneas against his entire team, IIRC.

For Water E4, I just used Rotom-W. Water/Electric resists Water-type attacks and hits back for super-effective damage.
