Q: Can a Chronurgy Wizard upcast using Arcane Abeyance?

c_burdCan arcane abeyance be used to upcast a spell? For example, can a bead made via arcane abeyance hold a 4th level fireball?

@Glazius you can give a link or image a tooltip but it's not recommended due to inaccessibility I think
Something like [1]: www.rpg-stack-chat.rocks "this is a tooltip"

I think it's not recommended because nobody expects it to behave that way
There's no reason to think a link has a tooltip because it never does and the primary purpose of a link is to lead somewhere

Q: Does the Fighter Dedication require Strength AND Dexterity, or Strength OR Dexterity?

LessPop_MoreFizzIn general, Fighters are free to choose between these stats when building for the class. They must invest in one, but rarely need both. However, as written, the Fighter dedication appears to require investment in both. It makes a fighter archetype singularly unappealing for, for example, a heavy ...

Q: Edge case: Can a free Object Interaction, which can be taken as part of a movement or action, be taken at the *end* of an action (by RAW)?

Laura RubyTo set the scenario: I'm a Rogue, level 4, that just took the Dual Wielder Feat. I start a battle with two daggers drawn, and when my turn comes, I throw both daggers at a foe. It seems to me that by RAW, I could take my free Object Interaction, as part of my Action, to draw two new daggers as I ...

Yeah, like I said, it was mostly in service of the joke, I wasn't too broken up when I couldn't do it.
(the joke being that Setarra, like Lord Scurlock, is a cameo in Blades from John Harper's previous Wild Blue Yonder series, where she was a threat-to-the-world level sea demon)

@doppelgreener that's (another) great point

Just got out of a sneak preview (Amazon Prime was the link) Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Good fun, no spoilers. Recommended. Doesn't take itself too seriously.

And I saved 4 dollars on the ticket by being old. Enjoyed that also.

@KorvinStarmast do the take a $ off for each edition you remember?

@AncientSwordRage Nice joke, but no, Senior Discounts for those over 55 are a thing on this side of the pond. It's an incentive to get old people out to spend their money.

@KorvinStarmast same here
Or at least a similar age

@Glazius For the first time ever, my Hound's use of electroplasmic bullets has completed a clock. I hit Lord Scurlock with two of them. And now for consequences. (We the Crew are not sure what that looks like, and the GM has indicated that input is welcome). Have you used this/seen this in BitD before?

@KorvinStarmast Uh... why did the clock start, and what did it say? All clocks should be publicly visible.
electroplasma in base canon is the burning soul of a hunted demon, which everyone pretends is safe and controlled because nobody really has an alternative, but if anybody could make it weird it's Lord Scurlock.
...oh, THAT clock.
How "attention from the spirit wardens" hits you is going to depend on your crew's general relationship with the arcane. They're pretty much the Empire's Delta Green, an off-the-books task force with no known membership dedicated to dispersing rogue spirits by any means necessary.
Your Hound's ammunition was almost certainly siphoned off of some part of a supply chain that the Wardens believe was rightfully theirs, whether it's portions of an actual Warden supply that fell off the back of a wagon or bespoke local stuff that works with the dregs of a leviathan processing facility.
However, because of their goals, the Spirit Wardens also bear no love for any of the unofficial arcanist circles operating in Doskvol, which includes Lord Scurlock. And you know what they say about the enemy of your enemy.
You made enough noise in the ghost field that the Spirit Wardens know about you. If they think you'll be a problem, they'll try to contain you through restrictions. If they think you'll be useful, they'll still try to contain you through restrictions but also give you the opportunity to do them a favor to get them to back off.
