Q: How to survive level 1 as a wizard?

user2754At level 1, a wizard has a very small amount of hp compared to most classes, and lacks armour proficiencies meaning they must invest in Dexterity as well as constitution to have less AC than most other classes on top of less hp. They can improve their armour class using the Mage Armor spell, but...

Q: Blood On The Clocktower

BafsIs this the correct forum for Blood On The Clocktower questions? It's more of a social deduction game, and less of a RPG.

Is it time to worry when you find the spellbook of infinite power is stored chained shut in a permanent anti-magic field?

@Joshua no, the time to worry is when you try to take the spellbook of infinite power into an antimagic field and it attacks you and your friends with a dozen tentacles

Q: How can I have more year reputation than total reputation?

Groody the HobgoblinI happened to look up my reputation this morning, and it shows this for the "Year" tab: Note that my reputation for the year is 100 points higher than my total reputation, even though I have only been around for 8 months, so all the months were I could gain any reputation and where I collected t...

@AncientSwordRage It's really the spellbook of aleph two infinity power that you need to be more worried about.

@JoelHarmon I feel like I should know how many spells are in there but it seems uncountable

The problem is some are written diagonally.

@JoelHarmon feels like whoever wrote this spellbook maybe read house of leaves one too many times

@AncientSwordRage Bleh. I couldn't get through that book, but my wife loved it.

I can't (or) won't stop making jokes

I didn't mean to imply you shouldn't.

@JoelHarmon I've never read it myself
I might get the audiobook 👀

That must be a very weird audiobook. There are footnotes with their own footnotes, that are 2-3 pages long.

12:11 PM
@JoelHarmon I had to knight my little finger to understand non-integer dimensions, he's called Sir Pinkski
@JoelHarmon it's the hill(bert) I choose to die on... Etc.. 😜

Is there any reason to have and as separate tags?

@AncientSwordRage Did you hear about the guy who tried to wrap a finite amount of sausage in an infinitely long pickle? It was the man-dill-brat plot.
@ThomasMarkov This non-lawyer would assume that 'licensed' is a subset of 'intellectual' in this context. How many questions of each are there?

@JoelHarmon 79 IP, 8 licensed.

Q: Reality check: I think [reality-check] is a meta tag. Should we burn it?

Thomas MarkovI think the reality-check tag is a meta tag. In The Death of Meta Tags, we see: The reason meta-tags are a problem is that they do not describe the content of the question. They describe some other aspect of the question, like the author’s skill level, or the author’s motivation for asking it, o...

@JoelHarmon I assume you're a community fan and making a portmanteau of Dan Harmon and Joel McHale?

Some of these are self-contradictory. Does it have red skin or dark blue skin? Leathery or scaly? — Darrel Hoffman 1 hour ago

So my one-off campaign went rather smoothly. The "war veteran" Paladin chatted everyone's ear off, and distracted them all from paying attention to what they needed to, the Dwarf Barbarian successfully fought a lizardman in a sphere of magical darkness, the whole party became paranoid of traps, tensions grew as they were chased down the mineshaft by hordes of lizardmen, the orc got naked, and they successfully escaped the BBEG rather than fighting him
