@MikeQ There's no question that on the butler, that worked really well. Not sure it'd work as well at court, or against an arcane BBEG, but it definitely worked like a skeleton key for that purpose. I enjoyed it!
It's like the elephants: it's not like you needed that particular build to snipe something, but being aware of what you built made it easy to spot a thing you could snipe.

I think the build could definitely frustrate some players. For instance, it achieves in 4 levels (for the Actor feat) the equivalent of a 13th level rogue, if not better.

L13 rogue in what sense?

Level 13 assassin rogue. I edited the message incorrectly. The assassin can spend 3 hours observing someone in order to mimic them. Actor only requires 1 minute, although it doesn't cover duplicating the person's handwriting.

Gotcha. But the rogue's got lots of other things that yours doesn't, presumably. I thought you were saying that ~all-around~ this was performing at L4 comparably to L13 rogue.

No no, sorry. I've gotten accustomed to quickly editing my messages in chat, sometimes I hurry and accidentally remove the important parts

12:59 AM
(I couldn't remember the stats on the lightning-thing, and whether that was comparable to sneak attack, &c.)
I've got an even bigger problem: I'd gotten used to slowly editing my messages in chat! Amirite, mods?

Lightning thing? If you're referring to the armorer artificer, that only does 1d6. At higher levels it becomes 2d6, indirectly via bonus damage effects.

Q: How to make players still feel rewarded after looting a dragon hoard?

AnagkaiDisclaimer: This question is tagged dnd-5e, since consideration of the value of money or the magic item system might be relevant. Ah, found a relevant mainsite question: How well can a Changeling copy voices?

@MikeQ Oh, right. I'm crossing characters, aren't I....

No worries! I mix up my one-shot characters all the time. I've just had so many of them.

Well that'll make a 19. Consider yourself successful
i am currently hopping between work (we're rolling out our new product that we've been working on for the past 3 months - I'm not on-site for the install, I'm in the office making sure everyone is up to date), doing cleanup and writing down notes for my novel/short story/Diablo D&D game.
Oh! I came up with a new game idea: Dice Towers
Players use their dice to build towers (like, actually walls and turrets, etc) like in a tower defense game. You can only use the dice you currently have access to in order to defeat other players.
Each turn, players roll a handful of dice, and the highest total wins the round. The winner gains all dice used in that roll, and adds them to their "tower".
A player is eliminated when they lose all their dice - the winner is the last man standing

Seems like the person who wins earliest is most likely to win in the end, no? And how does the tower building factor into it?

Ben
2:00 AM
Ok... That's a point
What about the number of dice you roll with is limited to 6 (give or take) dice. Everyone can only ever roll 6 dice.

Same issue. If I win in the early rounds, I will have more dice to spend over time, and the opponents probably won't be able to spend more dice than me.

Ben
So when you lose a roll, you have to break down their defenses in order to make up the 6 dice
@MikeQ Sorry, I meant you all roll (x) dice. regardless of how many dice you have.
If you don;t have (x) dice, you're out
A little simpler - no imbalance that way :)

What does breaking down defenses entail?

Ben
So, we both roll 6 dice. If you get the higher roll, you get my 6 dice.
That way I have to use my "dice tower" to get 6 more dice to continue
If I don't have 6 dice, you win

Right, but what's the significance of the towers?

Ben
2:13 AM
Fun
Cos everyone loves building dice towers haha

What if the dice rolls are tied?

Ben
Up the ante maybe? Each roll one extra dice - until someone rolls higher?
Or you could just call a draw

It doesn't sound like players actually make any decisions though. Either you must roll exactly X dice, or you lose. It's equivalent to betting coins by having each player flip a coin.

Ben
Yeah. It's not a complex game at this point. I literally came up with the concept last night

Yeah I don’t get it
Just play craps tbh

2:23 AM
Untie the win condition from the way you achieve it.
(Like, in D&D you don't get worse at hitting people when you lose HP.)

Ben
@BESW ?

No, this would be like the round winner gains HP equal to the damage dealt, but both sides have equal chances of winning one round. Statistics wise I think that could just go back and forth until the players get tired out.

Ben
@MikeQ Yeah, good point
Perhaps it should be a 3-player minimum game. Players can choose to gang up - or choose their opponent when they roll?
So if one player is in the lead, a player can choose to gang up with the player falling behind, to make things more even, or vice versa, in order to kick someone out of the game?
Hm... but then that goes back to the same issue

@MikeQ Reminds me of the card game war

@Ben If this is a competitive game where resources go back and forth, I would suggest implementing some non-renewable counter or resource to move things toward an end state

2:31 AM
@MikeQ Exactly.
Don't make the way you move toward winning, also the thing that makes you win.

@Rubiksmoose It's even simpler than war, it's the coin betting game. Similar structure, but the coin betting game guarantees the same odds every round.

Ben
The winner(s) and loser of each roll decide one dice that the loser gets to keep, then the rest are discarded?
That only works if you're using polyhedral dice. In the case of same dice (e.g. d6s) you can only keep as many dice as there are players

> GUIL: (Flips a coin.) The law of averages, if I have got this right, means that if six monkeys were thrown up in the air for long enough they would land on their tails about as often as they would land on their -
ROS: Heads. (He picks up the coin.)
GUIL: Which at first glance does not strike one as a particularly rewarding speculation, in either sense, even without the monkeys.

@BESW If you toss an infinite number of monkeys and typewriters in the air, how many times will they land heads or tails before they produce the complete works of Shakespeare?

@Adeptus 3

2:37 AM
(I highly recommend Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, especially the 2017 National Theatre version with Joshua McGuire and Daniel Radcliffe.)
Consider: dice contain variables coins do not. Take advantage of that.
Perhaps sums determine who retains the dice, but natural ones grant advancement toward a win condition.
(the size of your dice then becomes strategic)

I answered a two year old question.

SO how is everyone tonight? Anything exciting?

Trying to settle on a universal template for my TRPGs.

What about standard 8.5 x 11"

Well, there's a lot to go into the choice. First, is it intended for print or digital use? I may wind up with two templates, one for each, but cross-standardizing can be a pain.

3:04 AM
Ok, then go bold. 85' x 110'. Write in 2500-point font.

epub is probably the most accessible digital format, but that means sacrificing a lot of fancy graphical layout options.

Ben
@Thatguy Can't say how I'll be tonight, but I do have a game night on

For a print template, I think I'd like to go with a DIY zine format, which usually means single-fold booklet layouts on letter or A4.
(Extra-wide margins would make it possible to use one template for both letter and A4, which is good.)
I could go with PDF + txt so I can get both the fancy layout options and provide an accessible form, but honestly that feels... weird, like accessibility is an afterthought. And I'm likely to use layout as a way to convey information, so I should be designing in the space with the most limited layout options.
Then there's type; a lot of supposedly dyslexic-friendly fonts are... controversial, to say the least. And even setting that aside, the preferred typeface families for digital vs print design tend to be dramatically different.
So it's looking like I may be designing an epub and then embellishing it for a zine.

@Thatguy writing a final draft of a ttrpg (hint hint i need playtesters)

@BESW That sounds ... complicated.

3:18 AM
@BardicWizard I think you have more intellect in your big toe than i have in the entirety of my body when it comes to things like this. I think you got this!!
@BESW you as well. I have no idea how you guys create games that are even remotely fantastic. I couldnt do it. go you guys!!!
I'm gonna sign off for the night! stay safe everyone!!

@Thatguy You as well!

@Thatguy literally it’s my first time writing anything more than homebrew, but my siblings enjoyed what I’ve got so far...
@Thatguy have a good evening!

@Thatguy My POTA game yesterday was cancelled due to DM having work stuff and my Fate scifi game today was canceled because my GM was sick

@V2Blast I read that backwards, and thought "Oh yey you got a normal sleep!" haha

@Thatguy You just start doing stuff, and figuring out what you're gonna do again and what you're gonna change. They're skills like any other, they take a lot of practice.
I've been making homebrews and minor hacks and drifts for 15 years, and started experimenting with my own independent game designs about ten years ago.
It takes a lot of looking forward to the mistakes you'll make.

So I have a question regarding a bit of a loophole for new users.
A new user posted this question over on Arqade, which is a duplicate of an older answer. The problem is that for a new user, there's basically nothing can be done about it.
They don't have the rep to comment on other posts (yet) or do anything else about it, but according to them, the old answer is outdated and irrelevant
Ho could/should/do we deal with that (that hasn't already been done)?

6:57 AM
I mean, someone put a bounty on the existing question, which is the obvious path.

Ben
Yeah. ust from the new user's perspective there isn't anything they can really do, is there?

Not really, no.

Ben
:/
Ah well... I guess the most is post on Meta, but I daresay this isn't really an issue. It can be dealt with by other users

7:13 AM
Is there a policy requiring posts to use gender-neutral pronouns?
@Ben They did all they could do, you just have to hope there is a friendly enough community to help them. They aren't asking in a vacuum.

Q: Should RPG.SE enforce a specific standard for handling gender pronouns?

MalaIn this question, a user repeatedly left comments suggesting 'correction' of gender pronouns in cases where the original text wasn't itself incorrect. These comments were later deleted by moderators. No posts were actually edited by the person suggesting the corrections. Independent of the actua...

@Miniman Cheers. Interestingly I am asking for the exact same reason, someone was requesting edits saying they are "correcting pronouns". I'm fine with using neutral pronouns (I think it's worth the downsides) but saying that it is the only "correct" way to use English is weird to say the least. I know other communities allow users to pick whatever pronouns they want, but not sure if we had the same policy.

Q: Does our standing policy on pronoun gender conflict with the SE's recent changes to the Code of Conduct?

RykaraThis topic has been broached before but, in light of the recent changes to the Stack Exchange's Code of Conduct on the matter, I'm wondering if there's a conflict that needs to be addressed. Our policy, based on the selected answer to the question in the first link, seems to be that we do not car...

I believe those CoC changes only apply to the use of pronouns to refer to a specific person, not all use of pronouns.

And this is probably a good opportunity to mention the Stack Exchange Pronoun Assistant script.

Does anyone know of a policy about moderator responsibilities/conduct?

8:33 AM
(btw I know about the legal one, I was asking more about site policies)

9:00 AM
@gszavae Does the help centre article not cover your query?

@linksassin Nah, unfortunately not
Actually, I was asking because I saw Naut's post about you opening that question, and it got me wondering if the community ever discussed what extent moderator powers should be used
That article basically just says "mod powers are for exceptional circumstances", which isn't very satisfactory for me
I think it was mxyzplk who said something like "mods can do whatever they want" which uhhh, idk about that either lol

@gszavae There is the meta tag of questions. Though most are election/retirement based and some of the others are... not great.
But basically as it was explained to me. We are regular users, free to use the site just like anyone else with the added responsibility of handling flags and other problems that the community can't on it's own.
However, since we have the diamond next to our names any action we take is seen with a bit more weight so we have to be more careful in what we say and make sure we are always settings a good example for the community.
@gszavae More simply though, like I said in my election post. "A good moderator is like a good DM, here to make the experience better for everyone." We have the power to do alot of things, but we have the responsibility to use it in a way that makes things better for all users of the site.

Ever get to the point near the end of a module where you just want to finish?

@NautArch In 4e I quickly started stripping out all the XP-padding encounters and weird detours so that each module would zip by.

You could have stopped at "Ever get to the point near the end of a module ..." :p

@NautArch The eponymous Tomb in ToA felt quite a bit that way.

@nitsua60 we're just near the end of Dead in Thay and the grind has gotten to me.
Realized they need access to one more thing and I'm just washing over that.

I wonder how much of that comes from being a GM and knowing where the endpoint is, vs. being a player with some more "in-the-moment" experience of it?
(I mean, at table they'd see how far in the hardcover you're along, so that'd be a thing. But I believe you're online?)

1:21 PM
I definitely got the sense that around the third floor of KotS my players were starting to feel like it was just going to continue into the bowels of the earth forever and we'd never get to do anything else for all thirty levels of the campaign.

I think a lot of it is coming from being the GM.
I think the players would be fine with more grind.
I just want to get to the end battle.
Realized completely that my group really enjoys the dungeon grind, though.

yeah, my group tended to want to have something happen as a result of the fighting, aside from... more fighting.
Which, on reflection, was a good sign D&D was maybe not the best game for us.

It's actually making things harder, because in some ways the constant grind of a dungeon is harder to come up with ideas for.
I'm relying more on prebuilt modules

Yuup.

I can come up with fun narratives much more easily than interesting dungeon mechanics.

1:36 PM
For 4e, I set up the PCs as members of a black ops team on one side of a world-spanning war between two empires fighting over the last remaining free nation.
Every adventure was a mission they were sent on: assassinate a target, steal a resource, establish a cult, rescue a spy, etc.

That's probably doable. It's just ikinda frustrating how indifferent they are to greater storylines.
I do put the blame on the previous DM with setting up the expectation that the story is 'theirs' and players don't really have impact.

@linksassin if youre there we nee dsome mod help.

@ThomasMarkov Thanks. Cleaned up and left a strongly worded message against their actions. Hopefully they take the hint.

I'm also very much enjoying that they think an area of the dungeon is safe because the evil Hag in it said it would be and they didn't roll well on insight.
Actually, they straight up trusted her, I think.

@HotRPGQuestions I want to run a Cthulhu-esque game and have a fishing themed pub called "The Ten Tackles", and wait to see how long it takes players to pick up on it

> Call of Catthulhu is the rules-light roleplaying game where ordinary cats oppose the chaotic cults of the other animal gods, while keeping the humans blissfully unaware of their cosmic danger. The Cat Herder uses simple rules to arrange Challenges, and all the players have to know is how to act like a cat.

@linksassin thanks, that was a wild ride.

@BESW that is amazing.

@ThomasMarkov It was strange. User is relatively new through so I'm thinking it was an honest mistake.

@BardicWizard If you like that, you might also like The Secrets of Cats.

2:00 PM
Cats are wonderful. I want a cat but unfortunately allergies are terrible (and they’re not even mine)

I feel the same way and they are mine
Though there are some species of shorthair cats I am fine with. I have even lived in a house with a cat for several months once!

Unrelated (though I guess you could go from cat to laser pointer to light): how many scientific exploits could you do if magic could produce any light, not just the (human) visible spectrum?

@BardicWizard I contest that prestigiditation's capacity to warm up food suggests a cleric can emit electromagnetic microwaves.

... I guess there should be a clause saying “this light doesn’t exude heat” then

@doppelgreener That would be funny to play a George Hamilton look alike as a vain wizard always renewing his tan.

2:17 PM
@Slagmoth I am going from there to imagining a Discworld-esque situation where microwave ovens diegetically exist, and are powered by a small sprite that has basic cleric training. The sprite has good OSHA conditions, regular pay, and is protected by a union. This also means that microwave ovens are good to have around in a pinch in case you get injured, since the sprite might open its door to come out and help you out.

@Slagmoth I always forget how many languages are in the philippines

Well, before the Spanish occupied them there were many, many more.. nearly every island was its own country and there are more than 7000 of those during high tide.

@NautArch Yes.

@KorvinStarmast I mean, it's nice having content, but i'm ready to move on.

3:03 PM
@BESW That's kind of where we are with our Salt Marsh group right now ... and that style of play (special ops team) very much fits 5e's party size and mechanical base line. The amphibious raid on the Sea Princes/Pirate Kings will happen off screen, as that's a multi ship battle between nations/entities.
@NautArch As DM, you do have a Fast Forward switch. 8^D

I've been caught up with the con-lang Toki Pona, and keep trying to shoe-horn it into a character or setting

There was a series of commercials that had little vignettes with that as the theme. Average Joe doing technical thing well.

@AncientSwordRage The theory that your language impacts how you view the world (some scary implications) which stemmed at first from false ideas such as "Inuit languages have more words for snow"

> It's just a joke from Holiday Inn commercials that implies if you were smart enough to stay at a holiday inn last night, then you're smart enough to handle whatever the situation is now. Like someone passes out in front of you, nobody knows what to do, you grab a defibrillator and say "I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night" - Implying that you are "smart" enough to fix this problem, even though you don't even know how to use a defibrillator.

I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV... but if I were a doctor I would recommend Preparation H for your headaches.

Ah, I googled it a week ago or so and couldn't find much outside some tweets.

3:31 PM
@Medix2 Oh I know the theory, and I thought it was the reverse?
If you use a certain amount of a kind of language, what you think about changes

Sapir-Whorf holds that "the structure of a language affects its speakers' world view or cognition,"

I mean, strong Sapir-Whorf seems kinda dumb, imo.

Not sure if the inuit words for snow is related

GcL
@AncientSwordRage I can attest to having words for feeling makes your world a much better place to exist in.

@Yuuki strong dumb, weak smart

3:33 PM
@AncientSwordRage Depends who you ask. A lot of research has been conducted and lot of people don't agree on it

I think I still like the premise behind Toki Pona, that having only 119 words means you need to think about what you say first, not just spout a complicated word

@AncientSwordRage Englishmen have so many programmer words in their language, they must be a culture where everyone is good at programming, and everyone thinks in a very logical, machine-like manner!

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica true fact (from a sample size of 1)
I have definitely applied programming concepts such as Separation of Concern to help me decide if things go in the kitchen or lounge f.ex

GcL
@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica Not really, but programmers do notice and pay attention to things many others don't. You don't pay as much attention to the things you don't have words for or don't know the words for. That change in perception can make a lot of difference.

> A lot of research has been conducted and lot of people don't agree on it
this describes many things

3:36 PM
@GcL It's the other way around: people find ways to convey things they consider worth communicating about.

GcL
@AncientSwordRage It inordinately applies to psychology in my experience.

@AncientSwordRage There are a lot of highly isolating languages

@Medix2 I don't follow

@Medix2 'Scary' is a very mild way of putting it. S-W is essentially the phrenology of linguistics. That has it caught on in the global consciousness (especially among monolinguals) in such large numbers is terrifying.

GcL
@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica Yeah, and not always other way around. You inherit that from the language. Even the domain specific languages of your profession color your perception of your world.

3:37 PM
@GcL at least that

GcL
There are things that are bad words. We have visceral reactions to them, but sometimes they are the correct and simplest solution for a problem. The language that's been ingrained in us still says, that's a bad plan.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica But if my language doesn't have a word for sonder then I may find it too hard to express, or the way I find to express is not that relatable, for example

@GcL If you go with gin and vermouth it's a quarantini ;-)

@AncientSwordRage And English doesn't have a word for sonder either because nobody uses it with any regularity

GcL
@Rubiksmoose A bit more on the nose, but I'll give it to you.

3:39 PM
This honestly feels fairly analogous to descriptivism vs. prescriptivism.

@GcL On the nose is my specialty. Why do you think I run superhero stuff XD

GcL
I bet your players actually pick up on your clues.

And "we make up language for language we don't have yet" is a fairly descriptivist mode of thought.

@AncientSwordRage When people find enough need to refer to a concept repeatedly, a term emerges. Conversely, it's not uncommon for a term that seems easily conveyable and convenient, to be understood significantly differently even by people of the same culture. And the assumption of mutual understanding in the latter case can lead to some nasty situations.

@AncientSwordRage Also that feels... Wrong? Just because you don't have single short word for something doesn't mean you can't describe it

3:41 PM
@Medix2 but having to use extra words makes it harder
@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica yes, so there's a threshold for adding a word to a language

@AncientSwordRage That seems to assume language desires to be perfectly efficient when it does not. We have plenty of long words that have no need to be so long
We also have plenty of short words that are better understood when explained using many words because so few people even use the short words

@Medix2 No, I mean... easier doesn't mean shorter

why waste time say lot word when few word do trick

Why say lot few work

GcL
@Medix2 We do tend to go for things that we have a concise word for the concept. I think that's what makes Randal Monroe's Up Goer Five entertaining. We can describe stuff at length, but having a word that just means the thing is way more convenient.

3:44 PM
@Yuuki nd wvls r nt ncssary wst f spc 2!

for instance, 'powdered snow' is easy to understand, but if we lost the word powder, we might end up condensing it to 'powdow' because we no longer need the complexity

GcL
Plus, the best thing about English is the thievery from other languages. Umami comes to mind.

thats super contrived but I'm struggling to figure out how else to explain
@GcL Salmon Skin roll

GcL
Umami doesn't even have a good alternate description.

@GcL I'm sure plenty of people don't know that word...

GcL
3:45 PM
And their experience with cooking and eating food is worse for not knowing.

@GcL Savory?

GcL
@Yuuki kinda.

@GcL You say that like taste is a universal

I mean, the word "umami" was invented like only 100 years ago.
And not like "only transplanted into the English vocabulary" 100 years ago, it was made up in the early 1900s by a Japanese chemist.

GcL
Bless the Japanese chemist

3:48 PM
In conclusion: language is complicated, nobody agrees what it does

GcL
Ceramic is another one that the description that comes to mind doesn't quite convey the feeling of the thing.

@KorvinStarmast yup, and i'm using it! Should be able to finish this up either Friday or next Tuesday.

Q: CEO Blog: Some exciting news about fundraising

Prashanth ChandrasekarI’m really excited to share with you the fact that Stack Overflow just raised $85 million in our series E round of funding. I've written about the investment in detail on our blog. As I said there, our public community and commercial products are symbiotically linked. One cannot succeed without t...

@Medix2 this is is making me think of the Look Around You narrator

@Medix2 like “target” in DnD 5e.

@GcL Ceramic is an anagram of Racemic
Also Esoteric Coteries

GcL
@AncientSwordRage Luckily I no longer have to deal with chiral compounds anymore.

4:23 PM
@GcL I've got to hand it to you for attempting it in the first place

@Rubiksmoose Could you pass on my congrats to Catija and Cesar for finally getting new resources directed to their team?

Anything that's not right handed seems sinister to me

@doppelgreener I shall!

@doppelgreener Thanks Doppelgreener, Thoppelgreener.
@doppelgreener may I be nosey and ask what resources?

^nose away!

4:25 PM
ahhh I went one-box-blind

> This funding will allow us to hire additional support for the Community team. We’ll be opening CM roles, a second PM role on the Public Platform team, as well as additional developers and designers to help support the things we need to build.
To be specific :)

Yes, that!

woop woop

Their team kept shrinking and there's been a lot of effort on their part to justify that the opposite should be happening
And now it are happen

For those who may be wondering, more resources to the community team is a huge win for all of us from the Team themsleves (who are doing the work that a team at least twice their size should be doing) all the way down to mods and end users.
The fact that the company is actually literally putting money behind the words they've been saying very recently is a good sign that they might actually be finally hearing what the community has been saying for a long time.

4:30 PM
I admire your optimism

I'm happy to sit and watch and see what happens

4:45 PM
@GcL Well I'm always ready to be optimistic. At least in this case it seems this is pretty concrete. Now, whether this attitude carries through to the necessary stuff that still needs to keep happening. That we will see.

@Rubiksmoose dragging that corporate speak into our chat was a downer.

@KorvinStarmast Well it was exciting to me at least, because these are the people I work with daily to help this site run well. I can see how it might be a downer though, my bad. I can NAB it if people want.

No need to NAB

@Rubiksmoose I just want to say that I don't trust anything that comes out of that person's mouth other than a phrase like "I am hungry" - when they show me, then I'll respond differently. Currently, I am seeing talk, not action.
In time, that may change

4:50 PM
That's entirely fair.
Trust is easy to lose, incredibly hard to rebuild.

And I hope that my Eeyore-like view is unwarranted in the longer term.

Outside of Yawning Portal, are any of the other 'official' modules dungeon crawls?

@NautArch Dungeon of the Mad Mage, I would say

or should I just go through them and find 'dungeons' inside and play those.

@NautArch that too

4:52 PM
Just such a bummer to realize how little the players care about narrative.
or really have any interactable information.

Dungeon Crawling is a style ... and a popular one

I put together a document with the relevant info for the Dead in Thay, and I still have to explain how everything works each time.

Why do you think "crawling" was the word chosen?

I have a friend who now and again runs DCC (Dungeon Crawl Classics) but I've not joined any of his games; I know that he's done that at Cons for years.
@Rubiksmoose because you don't move very fast if you want to survive?

@Rubiksmoose Dungeon stroll didnt quite communicate the appropriate sense of danger.

4:54 PM
Nor the grittiness

@ThomasMarkov Dungeon traipse?

@Rubiksmoose We used to use the term Dungeon Delving in our groups back in the 70's, though another group used "Raids" to describe any session we were going to play.

Dungeon Ambulation.

We went into this cave complex once, early 80's, IIRC Runequest game, and I think someone in the group described what we were doing as spelunking. That didn't catch on.

Dungeon Mosey

4:58 PM
Dungeon Dash

Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan is almost a dungeon dash if you want to survive it. 8^D

Is this question devolving into idea generation?

@NautArch yes, but I do not see a chance to protect it. SHould it be closed as opinion based?

@KorvinStarmast that's where i'm starting to lean. But never feel great (especially now) about doing that.
