Not bad, Waiting on potential bad weather tomorrow with my wife out of town. Sucks. Solo dad and she might get stuck in NYC for a day until the weather clears to drive.
But I get a probable day of playing games with the kids instead of working.

This is WILD. A single mutation 25 years ago created an all-female species of crayfish that reproduces asexually in huge numbers, and they are literally taking over the world: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/05/science/mutant-crayfish-clones-europe.html
@NautArch hoping to catch up to Sora to see if they wish to continue with the game we started last night, given that a player substitution is in order (the other player I had involved had to bow out for scheduling reasons)
@Shalvenay I have been trying to get a bit more information about a AH-64D that crashed in Japan ... there is rumor that the rotor head, or one of the rotor blades, came off. Something similar happened a couple of years ago near Galveston with a US Army Apache. :(
@Ben Both of the side boosters landed safely (and in sync, too; you should look up a video). Unfortunately, the automated rocket didn't land safely on the drone ship, but it did successfully launch a car out of Earth's gravitational domain.
That feel when you post a really great answer, with all sorts of supporting evidence and such, only to find out you misread which version they were talking about.
...I think I've found a new animal to model a humanoid cryptid after.
From dodecahedrons to octahedrons, a uniform die gives us a fair shot at winning a play. But a new anthropological study found that dice weren’t always so uniform https://trib.al/UEjyhqz
Unusual #NHEphemera ? 1590 pamphlet about Peeter Stubbe, a farmer who was convicted of being a werewolf. Stubbe admitted to making a pact with the Devil in return for a belt which gave him the power to transform into a wolf at will. https://www.bl.uk/collection-items/the-damnable-life-and-death-of-stubbe-peeter-a-werewolf-1590

@GreySage I would never give away my seven-headed stuffed bear, because if there's one thing I remember from the army, it's the importance of keeping hydra-Ted.
@doppelgreener If a user (me for example) drops below a privilege rep threshold after passing it do they lose those privileges? I'm asking because I'm thinking about putting a bounty on the D&D Beyond Question (despite more eyes, I've still only gotten one affirmative response).
@Rubiksmoose Demi-mods can review flags in chat; whenever a flag in any chatroom is raised you'll see a little blue circle appear on your avatar with a number in it.
The only ones that ever come up are from Russian StackOverflow where they swear like sailors
One of the normal use cases for that is losing 100 rep due to having a post deleted for being spam or rude/abusive. Because that indicates you were less prepared than we thought for the privileges you have earned.
Anyone have a good print-on-demand service they like? If the prices are reasonable there are a number of .pdf rpg products that I'd probably use more if I had them staring at me when I turn to those shelves.
Well from what I'm understanding this is clearly one of those things that seems like it would devolve into "no my way of thinking is right" when really, we are just talking about the different ways people perceive and enjoy things.
Not really. There's no need for prioritization or exclusive choice.
My group bounces between the stances multiple times in a single evening: they're tools that can be used as needed.
Some groups only ever use one tool and that works fine for them, but I think it's useful just to know it's not the only tool available even if you never use any of the others.
I’m convinced that, were it not for the small matter of extinction, Dromaeosaur hatchlings would be competing with cats for “internet’s favourite animal” status.
A little digital painting wot I done... and a reminder to Hollywood: dinosaurs were not monsters. 😉🦖
@Asteria no, the robot was not friendly :/ it kept saying that my message couldn't be sent because we didn't have a mutual server in common, the server didn't allow direct messages, yada yada
@Asteria odd. anyhow, perhaps we could pick up our concealed-carry convo in the NAB since it seems that you still don't have that wifi situation straightened?
Additionally, the Turtles are 4 different breed of Turtle (I believe Leo is a Snapping Turtle?) And Master Splinter, formerly meant to be the Wise Old Tutor, well past his fighting days, now looks like he has rabies.
@BESW And yeah, that's pretty much how it is. But there was one quote - "Leo is jealous of Raphael for many reasons, including the fact that Raph wields two Daibo's, as opposed to Leo's single Katana"
The nice thing about long-running franchises with a ton of different versions is, the versions you like will always be there and the current version will eventually give way to a new one.
Apparently there's a TMNT RPG, (terrible system), and to create the original 4 turtles, you effectively have to break the rules of character creation. But, their is an expansion of "after the bomb" or something like that, where Anthropomorphic animals are the main population in the world, and there is a short comic on the back of the supplement, where 4 turtles "return home". An elder responds with "Mikey?" to which they reply "No, Master, Mikey is gone.."
And it's not like the whole thing didn't start as a mean parody taken waay too far. I have a hard time taking "changed it now it sucks" seriously before we've even had a chance to see the thing. (DuckTales diehards, anyone?)
A little too clever for its own good, maybe; I think it's often consciously targeting fans of the original show at the expense of the younger demographic, and that's not great.
