@Gilles ! I have a unix question
I know I could go ask on unix.se but it's been a couple months since i asked you anything so i thought i would drop by
I'm trying to figure out how I can list all available command line commands
like, "grep", "awk", "sed", "find", etc.....im curious if there's some command i can enter to get a list of everything that's available on my system

Q: List all files / binaries in current PATH

ernestophelesIs there an "easy" way of running an "ls -la" style command for listing all files / executable binaries in the current PATH? (I intend to pipe the output into grep, for looking for commands with unknown prefixes but basically known "names", the kind of case when the auto-completion / tabbing in...

but that'll be thousands of commands, it'll just overwhelm you
