hi

@Nai45 Just in time! @lila is no longer functioning properly and needs to shut down.
Her coders will do a check before releasing her again :)

@C.Koca what!? Her bot programming has crashed? Her evil robotic cult leading twin long lost sister battled in the intergalactic universe must have finally got her... a shame

12:15 AM
hi
haha sorry for slow response times, I was writing "something" and was distracted
@C.Koca 361 positions? Wow okay look, I understand that it is a lot, but you don't have to scream at me about this! This exclamation mark was completely unnecessary to further prove it is a lot!

@lila hahaha I love it thanks so much

@C.Koca Oh okay, I assumed it was a static specialized thing incapable of learning on itself.

@lila This put a smile on my face at 1:15

@lila who knows, maybe they will summon me
I will just appear in their rings of candles and be like "heeyyyyy"

:D
@C.Koca maybe, it makes me wonder how many bots I have already mistaken for humans
@C.Koca maybe, but it is just theoretical thinking and not reality; just tell me: have you ever seen any human that you were suspicious was actually a bot? none? haha, checkmate!
@C.Koca I don't, is it like tic-tac-toe but on larger board?

12:25 AM
@lila Honestly, I don't think you are a bot, not because of what you say on chat, but because of deleting an upvoted, very detailed and useful answer because it feels "verbose" is not something a bot would do
@lila You either know the game and want to get on my nerves or have no idea about the game :)

@C.Koca Wow thanks for appreciation, I will consider undeleting then. But I really think that this answer is verbose and contains too much tangential rambling and feels like verbal diarrhea :/ I have big big trouble writing short answers (short chat messages, short anything, etc.)
@C.Koca Haha I know almost nothing about this game, but still I am familiar enough that I knew how to write something that would get on your nerves :D

1:49 AM
@lila It wasn't an isolated incident. You also deleted another useful and upvoted answer just because OP said it is not what he/she is looking for. SE users should always attempt to answer the question, whatever it is written there, not satisfy the OP. OP can show his/her satisfaction through accepting the answer or through bounties.
I was actually planning to have a meta post about this, deletion of answers because OP doesn't like it, but I got occupied elsewhere.
Then I thought of having a private chat with you, but I guess SE doesnt allow it :)
¯_(ツ)_/¯

2:45 AM
@C.Koca wait I'm confused context pretty please

3:23 AM
@C.Koca Done properly this can be an appropriate use of meta ._.
@lila unless that's a factorial...

3:56 AM
goodnight

@C.Koca I think that's completely ok and understandable. It was just a huge issue to get used to for me personally. Before becomming mod I often voted the first VTC as duplicate, after I had to stop my hunt for duplicates. And I know that several other mods also want to have a "gentle" vote in addition to the hammer back.

8:52 AM
@C.Koca Yes. There's even a name for when OP asks a very detailed question, but actually has a slightly different problem. (I'm just really bad at remembering what it was). Like the one we had recently. OP asked "How to kill hookworms in my garden?", but what they actually wanted to know was "How to protect my dog from hookworms?"
Sometimes it's obvious enough to catch before anyone wrote an answer, but sometimes OP themselves notice only after receiving an answer. And if sometime in the future someone has the problem OP described, they might be grateful for your answer, even OP was not.

hi
@JourneymanGeek that's the point of the joke :D
@Nai45 haha justice was served, you did not get the context because you forgot about the sugar on top
@C.Koca I did but these were mercy upvotes
@C.Koca I do not think I have ever seen anybody get this emoji right at the first trial.

@Nai45 Lila deleted two helpful answers that she composed before. I guess you need delete privilege to see deleted answers, otherwise you can only notice them if you are just there like "there it is, now it is not there"

@Elmy I think it is just a human thing that a phenomenon like this happens. It is a side effect of how human mind works that sometimes we do not know what we really need, and instead ask about what we want. It happens to me sometimes. It is just natural human thing that happens to all of us, because you know, we are all humans and not robots, aren't we? Aren't we? ^.^

@Elmy Exactly that question. Some OPs are whimsical and we should not entertain them. As long as the answer is a helpful attempt to the question, even if the question is edited later, it should not be deleted. Once posted, question becomes the property of the community not the OP and community might need an answer slightly different than what the OP needs
I will make a meta post about this

@C.Koca It needs 2000 reputation or more to see deleted posts, you are right; I remember the times I couldn't see deleted posts and it was mega annoying :/

Scolding @lila

2:34 PM
I ended up scolding myself more than lila :)

@Stephie Ah, that's it. Thanks

Q: About self-deleting answers

C.KocaDeleting something is usually useful in any SE pages, as they tend to produce some clutter along the way. However, some users might be deleting their own well crafted answers just because (a) they are not happy with the quality, (b) the OP wants something slightly different. If it was (b), the OP...

@lila Even though I can't see the answers you deleted :( I would recommend undeleting them. Even if they aren't the best, they probably still help.

@Nai45 This is the whole point. Those answers are actually great

@lila suggested a few tag edits pretty please with sugar on top go through and accept or reject them, thanks

7:37 PM
@lila thanks, other than adding the new tags to all the relevant tags, the tag cleanup part 1 is officially done! :D
hmmm you're not there
oh well

@Nai45 I'm there sorry for slow response.

8:45 PM
Why doesn't "featured" tag work anymore? It has been 4 hours and the "featured" question still does not appear in the right bar. What is the problem?

1 hour later…
10:02 PM
@lila maybe we have too many of them?
