@JamesJenkins Thanks for the thought. You have two excellent candidates volunteering so for now I'll pass. I do currently moderate on another site in beta, and while my current moderation duties are not overly taxing, some nights like last night after a late horrendous cat abscess surgery I get home and there's a few flags to be dealt with, etc. So I'd rather not spread myself too thin at the moment. Cheers

I haven't been well last couple of days - so I've been quiet in here
I reopened this @JamesJenkins pets.stackexchange.com/questions/17960/…
Hope you don't mind - the OP is wanting to take the cat with her
@HarryVervet it's good to see you on the site :)
@Henders the difference is - this OP is asking about the neighbours dog - so it's a tricky situation

@YvetteColomb Yeah, I asked them about that in the comments and they confirmed that the neighbour element was irrelevant and they were going to train the dog together... So I think it's just like any other 'stop my dog barking when I'm not around' question.
@RebeccaRVT No, I've seen some episodes of random play-through's but never played it :P

Q: Snapping fingers in place of a clicker

Léon Donnet-MonayI don't own any pet but I was considering getting a dog pretty soon. (A Basset Hound to be exact, gosh these guys are cute.) I'd like to teach my future companion a lot of things, from the basic "Come here" to the more advanced "Roll over". Clicker training seemed promising as a way to teach th...

Q: How can I free feed a cat without feeding the ants?

James JenkinsIn the question Can I feed my cat whenever she wants? the OP feeds dry cat food, but is not able to leave the food out all the time as ants are an issue. Is it possible to place dry cat food so the cat can get it but the ants can't?

12:56
Intriguing question there - I'd be very interested in the answer because I ants are pretty good at getting into places they shouldn't!

Q: What is the minimum space to keep a cat?

animal_loverI was wondering what the minimum space requirement is for keeping a cat? I was thinking of rescuing another cat and keeping it in my bedroom because my dad is allergic to cats but it still would be to much for my dads allergies, then I thought that maybe I could keep an outdoor cat. I already hav...

Q: Choosing turtle tank

sqlcheckpointI'm planning to buy hatchling or baby turtles and working out for a good home for them. I'm going to get a 36 gallon bow shaped tank but not sure if there are any specifics/dimensions I should follow while buying a tank especially to have baby turtles. Also, not sure if 36 gallon tank is too big ...

Q: Accidentally scared dog last night and he has been aggressive/scared of me since

user2928701So my girlfriend and I adopted a rescue dog like 4-5 months ago, we don't know the breed for sure, but we think he is a Treeing Walker Coonhound based on his looks, and the vet thinks he's like 5-7 years old...she said he looked like he had a rough go at it as he was malnourished, a bit mangy, an...

Q: How to teach my cat not to bring toys to my bed?

SonevolMy cat sleeps on my bed by my side. Even if I make separate bed and put her there she would not listen and come to sleep by my side. Anyway I kind of like it and has no problems. But the problem lies elsewhere. My cat has mouse toys. Moreover, she sees every small movable objects throughout the ...

Q: How to sex a Bristlenose Catfish

HendersI have a young Bristlenose Catfish but I'm finding it really difficult to tell which gender it is. The shop told me that it's tough to sex a very young Bristlenose catfish and this one is certainly very small. Is there any way that I can easily tell the sexes of young Bristlenose catfish?

Gif of my Female Bristlenose being aggressive :D
A rare glimpse at the spikes on the side of her head.
