It is good idea, I noticed that I could bring a new person to this chat from time to time via my participation in other chat rooms (namely, Awkward Silence) and these people tend to visit from time to time, but I have not yet noticed any of them to start using the actual Q&A site.

Every (graduated) Stack Exchange site gets community ads. The ads are for third-party websites or different SE communities. For example, Pets SE has the option to sponsor ads on other SE communities (if the community supports it).

HNQ is also a draw, though not necessarily of the right 'type' of users.

I don't have a lot of familiarity with dogs, just cats, but with reluctant eaters there I've had good luck adding probiotic powders (Advita and Fortiflora), which have a strong appealing smell/taste to convince them to eat. Have you tried additives like that?

@Sarov Haha classic Sarov'esque response; I am claiming that my timezone is evening and wish you good evening if you wish to have good evening to be good on, and if you desire a good one that is good to be on then yes, of course, whether you desire or not (it takes practice to speak Sarovesque, sorry for bad grammar).

@Nai54 Thanks a lot for adding nicknames to the post with spring answers; also, yes I think it is reasonable to only consider answers with >0 score (or >0 upv*tes regardless of the score). Out of the blue conversation twist: at some point you have changed from Nai45 to Nai54 and for a day or two I thought it is my imagination playing tricks and that I am going insane :D

@Nai54 Haha really? :D yes I noticed but not immediately, at first it was just a vague feeling that something is not right, but then it grew to be more intriguing and I also "cheated" a little because moderators could see all previous names in specific place at user profile; also, as far as I remember you didn't change the name on all sites at once so it also revealed the trick for me. It is hard to tell which I liked more because all the initial confusion ...

@Nai54 ...made it fuzzy for me at this point; now I cannot help but see your name's number as a simultaneous "superposition" of 54 and 45, but I suspect this might be some sort of hypnotic effect induced by the kaleidoscopic avatar ^.^
