For the brother/family dog question, no objections with any choices offered by anyone, but I feel obligated to argue the keep it here side. Maybe if the question was worded more like "How can I show adopting a dog is not in the best interest of the dog, given..."
My puppy uses this duck as a comfort toy. I have tried reverse image searching for this toy with no luck. I cannot remember where I purchased it, and I already cut off the tags. I'm looking for this exact toy. Has anyone seen this toy before and know where I can purchase it? Thanks!
@JourneymanGeek @Flummox I'd respond that if a question works (better) on another site only maters if it does not work here at all. While most of us have a presence in the larger SE community, when we are on pets.se we should focus such that the best interest of pets.se is being met.

My train of thought: there is a question (badly worded) about bringing a new dog into an situation that is fundamentally different from the previous. What impact does that have that is in scope for pets.se and how do we write the answer to what is in scope for that question.
I gave it a shot, not sure how well I addressed it. I am sure others can do better, and I would encourage others to make the attempt.
@JamesJenkins well, we got our dog cause his previous owner kinda failed to communicate to her partner that she was getting a dog, and the subsequent soap opera level drama ;p
so, while pets isn't about people, ugh, this is one of those questions where its about people
What does this mean please someone answer and I am so nervous and might freak out because I do not know what to do. I have looked multiple time to see if it was skin, but it was not. Also this just appeared on him recently. Legs and tail.
I have a female German Shepherd, 8 months old. When she was young she was playful but also annoying. Things like chewing me so hard dthat I could not walk because you can't walk with a dog hanging on to your legs.
I worked hard to discourage all sort of unruly behavior.
Now she is becoming a gr...

Is my betta fish sick? He is laying on the bottom, breathing quickly, and will randomly have bursts of energy and swim rapidly around the tank before settling down at the bottom again.
