Q: Does medicating an entire tank harm healthy fish?

Christy B.I have a female guppy, that's been through a lot of stress over the past year. She's moved from my friends overcrowded, unclear green algae tank to mine, has had babies 4 times, has had internal parasites (was separated into a hospital tank, treated and put back original tank after parasites clea...

Q: My cat brings mice ALIVE and it is becoming a problem

MajaHHere's the issue. My cat bring mice into the house (we live in countryside and she brings forest mice), and she brings them almost always alive. It is becoming significant problem as she is "playing" with them, and injures them that way so while hiding from her they die and start decomposing insi...

@all, good job flagging new posts that are duplicates. That really helps keep the site clean and working smoothly. :)

@JamesJenkins I didn't realise it was yours until I got to the bottom :p

Q: Is there a "shock collar" that doesn't actually shock the pet but instead just makes loud noises when they pass the perimeter?

user400424I don't want to get shock collars because I don't like the thought of hurting my pet but what I'm looking for is a collar that instead of shocking the pet with electricity, just produces startling sound. So it would be like a shock collar minus the hurting. Does such a thing exist?

Can't wait to get to the 'can edit anything' privilege... Must be annoying (but necessary) to have to review all my edits :P
Rejected edit over correcting informal/incorrect language/grammar. Any thoughts? Was I too picky here...? Technically even if it is valid it should have an apostrophe afterwards like "tho'" :P

No surprise that the second one to the same person was rejected too: pets.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/11263

The first link is dead, the second shows the OP rejected it. We have this meta post pets.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/593/… that speaks about minor changes. May or may not apply I have not read it in a while and just popping in for a minute

tho -> though is really a formality change; tho is not technically wrong
@Henders the first link is dead tho :-) and I can't see what the suggested edits were
in my personal opinion, I would change tho to though when making other edits, but not necessarily do an edit JUST for that reason
Speaking of meta, should the German Shephard tags be deleted per this meta? pets.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/2174/creating-breed-tags
IIRC there's a special mod way to do that so they won't show in the drop down for new questions (maybe mapping that tag to dogs? idk)

8:45 PM
@Zaralynda See what you did there ;) Fair enough, I'll bear that in mind. I guess I didn't really think about it being too little change :)

Q: Border Terrier howls at overhead aircraft

HawkMy wife and I are in our 70's. Just this year we had to have our 12 year old beloved Labrador Retriever put down due to canine lymphoma. My son has an 8 year old Border Terrier who has a problem we would like to help him with. My son lives on the flight path for a small provincial town airport,...
