How would you handle a question that gets lots of upvotes/answers that the community likes/supports, but is off-topic?

Should you not be elected, will you continue with your participation in the site or will you disappear and wait for the next election before showing a flux in your activity in the lead up?

What about being a moderator appeals to you? Why do you want to take on this responsibility?

What would you do as a moderator that you would not be able to do if you were not elected?

I asked this question once before and I still think it's a powerful one: What is the biggest problem facing Gaming.StackExchange today?

Moderators exist to help keep the community in line, but they also exist to act as leaders. This means not getting involved in heated debates (like I do) and presenting your opinion in well thought out posts (like Grace does). What is an example of your leadership that you have *already shown* on GSE?

Another major role of Moderators is help new users find their way and prevent more senior users from discouraging them. How do you think you can accomplish this goal?

Some of you have already answered this, but feel free to restate; Moderating is an around the clock job, what sort of time can you dedicate to moderating GSE? and as a follow up for those of you who participate on other stack exchanges how do you plan to balance your time between GSE and other places?

This may seem like an obvious one but: If you had to pick one other person to be a mod (instead of you) who would it be, and why?

What would you do with a user who produced a steady stream of valuable content, but at the same time generates a large number of arguments and/or flags?

If elected, a diamond will be attached to everything you say and do. Everything you do will then be seen under a different light. How do you feel about that and will it change your behaviour at all?

How will you handle only being able to cast binding vote (to close, flag, delete, reopen...)?

While there's extensive logging on mod actions, the moderator dashboard experience is designed to encourage an atmosphere of trust between moderators, rather than distrust - checking what other mods are up to is possible, but... ugly. So: can you see yourself working well side by side with existing moderators, trusting them with their decisions while being trusted with your own?

Let's assume you have been elected as a moderator, what will you be doing in your first days?

How would you handle a user that disagrees with a particular decision you made and has told you so in a comment or as a meta question?

You all seem very serious in your descriptions. Apart from that are you gaming? Which game has your favour ATM and why?

Over the last few days, we've seen a large number of edits from certain users. Frequently rolling back their own changes or having other users do the same. Given that an edit bumps the home page, what is the minimum quality you believe an edit should have?

What would you do when you see a flag that you either disagree with, or are unsure how to act upon? (Examples: "This question is off-topic", "This question is not constructive", "This answer answers the question only partially", "This answer is low-quality (a one-liner for example)")

Do you have any past experience with moderating a community?

What do you think about jokes on the main site, for instance answers such as this one or tags like this one? Do you think we should have a place for a little humor from time to time, or does it harm the professional "feel" of this site? Likewise, what do you think about the occasional joke in a comment?

How liberal or conservative are you regarding what kind of questions we should allow? Do you think we should broaden our scope to appeal to more users, or narrow it to prevent our site from becoming a yet-another-generic gaming site? Specifically, how do you feel about identify-this-game?

Someone asks a question and uses a tag that you're not sure should exist, such as bacon. How would you handle this? (note: either baconing or the-baconing will be a real tag once that game comes out, so maybe this is a bad question)

What would you say is the biggest single contribution you've made to the site? (Question, answer, comment, meta post, blog post, etc. etc.)

Will being a moderator affect your participation here? For example can you point to an answers/edit/viewpoint that you felt comfortable making as a single user to this site, that as a moderator, you might feel it's better to step back from a personal view in deference to the site's overall benefit.

Hypothetical situation: you see a problem that seems to be particularly detrimental to the site, but the bulk of site users are opposed to changing it. Would you ever go against popular opinion to do what you feel is best for the site/community? What would influence that decision?

@Anna & @Ivo: You two are already moderators on other Stackexchange sites. How can you direct your full and utter attention to the Gaming community, while also doing so for those of your respective networks?

Many sites have had mods who are enthusiastic for the first day or two and then quickly stop participating in mod activities (handling flags, etc.). How much time do you expect you'll have to devote to actual moderation (not just being on the site)? This pretty much covered it
