[Themoonisacheese] somehow every url shortener on the planet doesn't like vyxal share urls
github-actions[bot] pushed a commit to Vyxal/version-3 in Vyxal/Vyxal: Sort elements in test file from recent commit
[Themoonisacheese] fuck it, qr code moment qr.png
github-actions[bot] pushed a commit to Vyxal/version-3 in Vyxal/Vyxal: Refresh element and/or trigraph docs from recent commit
[Themoonisacheese] literally easier to install and use qrencode than finding a link shortener that won't barf
[Themoonisacheese] ??? now it crashes
@lyxal [Themoonisacheese] you'll have to get the link on discord :v

So tired of having to design within the constraints of a sbcs too :p

> For the foreseeable future, this will most likely be the very last non-bug fix update of all Vyxal versions. Personally, life is about to get busy for a while, and barring a flood of interest and other people able to contribute, I don't think I'd be able to make many changes at all. Nor do I feel like I would want to - as fun as getting 3.5 ready was, golflang development just doesn't have the same appeal it used to have. There's only so many SBCS shuffles one can deal with before the allure of not having a codepage to manage becomes ever so tempting :p. I think I'm ready to start moving
From the release notes, pertinent to earlier discussions :p
[user] We had a good run
14:59
[the cat] o7
[the cat] it's been a hell of a ride :3
[RubenVerg] this was fun
[noodle man jacob] Hasta la vyxal
[the cat] whatever will I do with vyxal bot now
[user] Allow anyone to use it for GjtHub stuff or chat-discord bridging
[RubenVerg] rewrite it in vyxal
[noodle man jacob] rewrite it in uiua
[the cat] lmao.
[RubenVerg] rewrite it in 6502 assembler
@Bridget [the cat] Bridget is already usable for this actually lmao
@Bridget [user] Oh nice
@Bridget [noodle man jacob] reacting to my own message with fire >>>
[the cat] it's just that nobody's asked me to bridge another room
[user] Sad
[the cat] Bridget has always supported more rooms and one-way bridging
[noodle man jacob] Vyxal is like the only room that its useful for lol
[user] APL orchard matve
[user] But they already have
[noodle man jacob] TNB doesn't want it, noone else uses sechat for primary communication, other than ig APL orchard but they have the APL farm with discord/matrix bridging
[user] I nedd more sleep
@Bridget [RubenVerg] the farm was spun off from the orchard specifically to not be linked with it
[RubenVerg] there was some drama
[user] Oh
[RubenVerg] basically Adám tried to make it too dyalog focused at a time when other langs' discussions were going on
@Bridget [Themoonisacheese] what about PLD?
[noodle man jacob] Oh true, I just meant re. cgcc
[Themoonisacheese] i see
[noodle man jacob] I'm not active on PLD, maybe I should be
[noodle man jacob] I am very interested in programming language design
[RubenVerg] I used to be quite active but then I was in the hospital and I couldn't really use my phone and by the time I got out I kinda forgot
[RubenVerg] I was there from quite early on
[the cat] Vyxal Bot is very tailor-made for us
[the cat] arguably it does more stuff than it should lmao
[Themoonisacheese] how dare you
[Themoonisacheese] !!/status is a vital command for morale
[noodle man jacob] I'm so glad I got you to add status tingly
[the cat] I've been toying with the idea of pulling out the GitHub functionality and making that its own bot
[noodle man jacob] Do you have a use for it?
[Themoonisacheese] surely one can simply not use it?
[the cat] not at present :p
but someone else might
@Bridget [the cat] wdym?
@Bridget [noodle man jacob] If someone else wants it, maybe you should make it, but if nobody does it would be a waste of time I think
[the cat] there's actually precedent for this
fun historical fact: VB used to handle discord bridging too, but that was just silly so I moved it into Bridget
[Themoonisacheese] the github functionality could stay and people could use the bot without giving it a token or something
[Themoonisacheese] in my experience making discord bots, nobody really care about bots anymore
[the cat] not really feasible if I'm understanding you correctly
[Themoonisacheese] as in, this type of bot
[the cat] VB's components are kinda inextricably linked
[Themoonisacheese] ¯_(ツ)_/¯
