@JacobB Well that's not getting a conversation going either then XD

@Tinkeringbell I feel like this has been answered somewhere, but do you fly drones?
Nope, still 'not yet' :P I asked a question here when the site just got into beta, about what to keep in mind for a first one. But with the apartment and stuff, I just haven't had time to pick up another hobby :| Getting a drone is still high on the list of things to do though!
Ah, there's always a seemingly infinite list of things to do.
Yeah... And things to save up for ;) I would definitely have to save up for a drone for a while, and I gave saving up for furniture and decorating a bit more priority :P
True! How's the decoration looking? :D
So far, there isn't much yet :P Furniture will arrive next week, otherwise it's just mostly white wallpaper, but with a single wall in a blue-ish green for the living room and a single lighter green-ish wall in the bedroom :)
I don't really have pictures yet XD

It sounds like it will be really nice! Definitely less bland than where I'm at XD. I'd love to see it when it's finished (if you don't mind).
cool! Looking forward to it :D
Same here... I'm getting that 'can't wait' feeling more and more :D
@JacobB We have a lot of annoying regulation that has restricted what we can do here, so my drones have not flown for over a year. That's everything from racing drones to my big DJI drones :-(
But I'm really wanting to fly again after seeing this channel:
Beautiful drone flights in the Dolomites

@RoryAlsop my condolences
Hopefully things change soon!
@JacobB I think regulation will only worsen. I either need to go for a full commercial licence, or trim my racers to be sufficiently under 250 grammes. Or alternatively just take them when i holiday in other countries
14:53
It's really unfortunate how lots of countries are starting to (or continuing to) crack down on drone regulations. At least there are quite a few sub 250 options.
15:27
@JacobB I blame the rollout of cheap drones for "dumb" or untrained pilots. In the past, RC aircraft required a fair bit of commitment (cost and learning) whereas now anyone can buy a drone that will happily get them into trouble, damaging things or hurting passers-by
I have had to stop children in my village flying a DJI Phantom low over a railway line - they didn't understand the dangers at all
SO I understand why the regulations have come in - bit of a kneejerk reaction though

@RoryAlsop I completely agree. Drones come with a certain level of responsibility. When the barrier to entry was steep, it weeded out anyone who wasn't serious about it. Now that the barrier to entry is quite small, people who don't know what they're doing can jump straight into the deep end.
