Well, a couple things been perking. 1) The Rules and what they're good for - that's for 'general' audiences. Or 2) The changing face of grammatical terminology - which might excite some higher-level comments/discussion among the established users. What's the audience you want?
I don't think of it as 'back of the queue' but as 'remote deadline' ... Do you mean "encourage more people to contribute" or "encourage other contributors than StoneyB to get their articles in" ... and if the former, Who do you want to encourage?
Hmm ... there's a lotta folks around who write pretty well. Why would they want to post on the blog instead of in the Q&A? he said rhetorically. Obviously, because they're not limited by an inferior question, or by such constraints as get a question closed. So perhaps something building on freedom of expression or get it off your chest or don't wait to be asked . . .
@MattЭллен as a matter of fact I am. (on 'a few', some', 'several' etc) I got the Graves book which mentioned a similar analysis, which I have included in my draft. I still have to add the draft to the wordpress blog site.
