A: Low rep user accessing own deleted comments

stuffeYes, a moderator removed the comment because it wasn't related to any question or answer particularly and was rather discussion about who might have downvoted an answer. No-one, not even moderators, can see who voted for who (unless there is a pattern of vote abuse that is picked up by the syste...

Seems the intent of my comment was mistaken. I wanted to suggest that why ?they? downvoted the answer (If indeed was them, otherwise I would have then expected both our comments to be deleted) was stated, because I thought they may be suggesting that the date in the answer was wrong, but given the limited wording I wasn't sure.
Also, before I write up a "Please consider (at least) giving authors access to their deleted comments" meta question, if for no other reason that people could go crazy wondering if their crazy ;) (But it is also nice to have something to show for sometimes some time typing, i.m.o) has it already been suggested?
I don't know if it has been suggested, but if you do make a question I would so it on SO, not AD, as it's a site wide request that isn't particularly AD specific. I can't comment on the thinking of the particular Mod who removed it, but even if the user hadn't downvoted, it's not fair to put other users on the spot - voting is totally anonymous by design - so it seemed a reasonable action to take. Hope you understand our thinking.
PS, you are welcome to add the comment back in, but word it differently and make it anonymous, not specific to a particular user. You could ask the question of if the comment is accurate or misguided without needing to tie that to a vote.
"as it's a site wide request that isn't particularly AD specific" - Agree. Will do; Interesting comments about anonymous voting, doesn't the system suggest you should comment after downvoting (I do realise that this is a little more abstract than how what-I-did was taken)? Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately I am the kind of person who doesn't like to do things twice - Could I ask for a copy of my wording here, so I can c&p (and reword) into a new answer comment?
Can you drop into chat? It's not great to fill things with discussion in comments :)
Unfortunately I have actually never done this myself. If I could ask you to create a room with as much of the above as seems appropriate migrated in there, that would be appreciated (A link to instructions would also be good ;)

This sounds stupid, but...
It's really hard to invite a new user into a chat room. So if I commment enough...
The system will offer to do it for me... A, perfect - I will clear these later!
Hey!
OK, we are in chat now. ping me with @stuffe and I'll drop in when you are here ;)
@user66001 Ping
@stuffe - So was just wondering if you could supply my comment, to be tweaked, and reposted. Perhaps I should run my intended wording past you also?
Sure, I'll dig it out.
There's note much to read ;)
"This sounds stupid, but..." - I agree. Surprised someone hasn't suggested a link to do this is also provided, not after x number of comments by the same person.
@ Django Reinhardt - Did you downvote minorgod's answer (I usually see -1 in the comments to indicate as such)? – user66001 18 hours ago
@user66001 There are Meta questions open requesting it to be a mod tool to auto fire off a chat room invite.
but unless you have been in a chat room before, it's actually really hard to invite you because you need a chat account as well as a Q&A account.
the auto-transfer is handy, because it create the room and populates all previous comments.
although it leaves a mess behind. I'll clear tham all now you are in here
How about "To whom downvote minorgod's answer - Was this because of what @Django Reinhardt ?may be been suggesting? that it wasn't "discontinued", but instead Apple ceased support on May 9, 2012?"

About voting. The point really is that the vote is your comment
Then why suggest someone also comment after voting?
@stuffe Cool.
You shouldn't have to explain it, the collective score of a q or a is the sort of collective average opinion.
sadly, voting is low on AD, and therefore sometimes a single vote can feel bad when you get one etc.
I'm not sure that there is any requirement or suggestion to comment after voting.
Just think that there shouldn't be a suggestion to comment, if the vote is supposed to be more weighing.
If you have that in a link, i'd be happy to read it
Oh, this has been my experience...
I will try and remember to screenshot it, next time it appears :s

OK, a little chat training for you next ;)
wait, ignore that!
You can;t reply to your own comment, hence the link...!
@user66001 I'm still not sure that you need to reference voting on your comment.
I'm not 100% sure on what it is you want out of leaving the comment. Are you just wanting to clarify if the first comment was accurate, or are you wondering why the comment was left, or suggesting it contradicts the answer?
More the latter (by your wording); What do you mean about replying to my own comments?
@user66001 Take this comment, I replied to a specific comment of yours earliler (random just to show it working), hover your mouse over this sentence to see which one it is linked to
So you can link a reply on here to a previous reply, but only if that reply is someone elses. The contextual menu is different when you select your own posts
Sure. But what did I do to cause your comment on this subject?
Sorry, I don't understand you
Oh, wait.
@user66001 You supplied a link to one of your earlier responses in this reply (by this I mean the one this one is highlighting)
I was going to suggest you just link reply instead of including a URL, but you can;t do that against your own posts.
Ah, understand now. So, to the wording of the comment ;)

OK, here's the thing - I have to go now, but I'll check in later. ping me with @stuffe in any AD chat room, I will get back to you.
Yeah, I have other things that should probably be done now also. Will check back in later to see your comments on my comment :)
