@Gilles “Gold”, a short story by Isaac Asimov in which he describes the making of a sort of computer-animated drama/ballet of The Gods Themselves
@apoorv020 Daniel Fox, Dragon in Chains (and sequels that I haven't read yet). Set in medieval China. The Emperor is fleeing a rebellion, war ravages the country, jade is magical, and a powerful, malevolent dragon has been freed from its chains.
@apoorv020 The Fairy of Ku-She: a fairy is cast away from heaven and lives a mortal's life on earth, in China. Where Hell/Heaven is a bureaucracy (a common theme in Chinese-inspired fiction).
@apoorv020 If fictional Asiatic societies count, then Interesting Times (Terry Pratchett, Discworld): Rincewind's adventures in China.
@apoorv020 Oh, still in China: Barry Hughart, the adventures of Master Li and Number Ten Ox (Bridge of Birds and sequels)
@apoorv020 I've only read the adventures of the Monkey god (in abridged translations). I think it's the only one of the four that qualifies as fantasy.
