Our numbers are still significantly reduced from the original curve, our original spread rate of 33% is now less than half that.

And I really hope they're gonna be paying those hotels decent compensation for setting up an inevitably-leaky quarantine in our tourist district rather than using their stolen third of the island.
Don't get me wrong, I'm really glad those people are finding a path to better treatment. They need it, they should get it.

@BESW Right--I don't suppose there's any particular sailor that you've got a gripe with. The US Navy, on the other hand....
 
To be painstakingly fair to the point of meaninglessness, it was an Army ship which killed hundreds of CHamorus with the Spanish Flu in 1918.
 
@BESW Well, if you can't be painstakingly fair in the midst of a pandemic, then you've just let the virus win.

And it's the Air Force that continues to pretend CHamorus weren't exposed to Agent Orange.

So yeah, the military showing up with a boatload of disease and going "Let us in, we promise it won't go badly," is kind of a "fool me five times, you have no shame" situation.
