Brahman is the creator, sustainer, and destroyer of the universe, and he is the antaryami of all souls (jiva) and matter (prakriti).

@ManuKumar Purpose of existence is given in brahma sutras: the universe is created as leela (play) for brahman, and also for brahman to liberate the jivatmas from samsara.

And what is Prakriti and where does it resides?

Prakriti is an attribute of brahman according to sri vaishnavism. Achit (non-sentient) tattva is eternal and is transformed into prakriti at the beginning of creation.

@ManuKumar Moksha is liberation from cycle of birth and death. According to sri vaishnavism the Jiva who gets moksha goes to the vaikunta lokas that are made of divine prakriti and acquires all the powers of brahman including omniscience, etc. Mind is a prakriti sense organ used by the soul to think and feel.

@ManuKumar How do you know what to realize without knowing prior hand what you are even realizing? First one has to even know that brahman exists, and then what brahman is, before realizing it! That is where scripture comes from: upanishads are experiences of other sages who realized brahman.

@ManuKumar Brahman is Narayana/Vishnu. Other devatas like shiva are all jivatmas subject to karma. This is what the vedas and rishis say. Shiva is tamasic.

@ManuKumar According to vedanta, one has to please brahman to reach brahman, and one pleases brahman by following his law, which is the vedas and smritis. And vedas and smritis say that one should follow their varnashramadharma, and varna is based on birth.
