@Bookworm I think we need a question about where people can ask this type of question. (Its the type of question that many sites would post on meta, even though that has the disadvantage that people won't find it.)
@Gallifreyan Can you create an event for our new topic challenge.

Q: Announcing the April–May 2020 topic challenge: The Stranger / Meursault

IkWeetHetOokNietIn accordance with our meta agreement to have topic challenges and a later meta agreement to have topic challenges lasting for two months that overlap by one month, it is time to announce the April–May 2020 topic challenge. Q: Argumentative paragraph about "window"

muyustanI know this is not a good question, but I am kind of stuck. I have to write an argumentative paragraph on the subject "word", around 200 words. However I cannot find which aspect of a simple windows I can argue? It would be nice if you give me some ideas. Thanks.

And to everyone else: please suggest more topic challenges. Six out of the nine last topic challenges resulted from suggestions by me. That's a lot of bias.

@Gallifreyan Just wondering whether you have an estimate of the time you spend moderating our site. (To be honest, I have no idea how much I spend on it on Language Learning SE, which has been very quiet in the last four/five months.)

9:29 PM
@IkWeetHetOokNiet To be honest, I don't know. Usually it takes me no longer than (roughly) 15 minutes to get through the flags, if there are any. Sometimes it's more, but I don't count the outliers
I check in every now and then as long as I'm sitting in front of my computer (which is most of the time nowadays)
Our analytics show a constant increase, or at least not a decline, in most stats: posts, visits, votes, etc.
But for some reason it feels quieter for me as a mod, even though I'm handling all the flags by myself now

That sounds reasonable for the level of activity on our site. But I can't explain why it would feel quieter.

Maybe it's just because now that I'm online more frequently, the workload is spread out throughout the day and it doesn't pile up
Bu your guess is as good as mine

When I am online, it is hard to resist the temptation not to check what is going on. That obviously also spreads the work throughout the day :-)

At this point I just click on the Lit icon in Firefox's "top sites" unconsciously

(Time for me to go offline now.)
