@Malavika Lol. I must say, I wasn't really thinking mathematically when I decided to write that answer. I just played the notes starting from different keys and was somewhat surprised that each time I got a recognisable (indeed, well known) raga.
In hindsight, that should've been obvious, because on different occasions I had observed or read/heard about Mohanam's grahabhedam into Shuddha Saveri, and Shuddha Dhanyasi's grahabhedam into Hindolam (but never attempted to try out the entire cycle of grahabhedams with these scales)
@Bahudari If your username is an indication that that's one of your favourite ragas, I'm curious to know if you've listened Balamurali's Kamala Dalayata Lochana, which is my favourite Bahudari composition
