Q: closest equidistant point to N points in M dimensions

ErikIs there a formula/algorithm/etc. to find the closest equidistant point (assuming it exists) to a set of points, allowing that the number of dimensions of the space is independent of the number of points? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This question was recently bumped: What is the "Krein-Milman theorem for cones"?. I was considering whether might fit. And maybe some tag related to Krein-Milman - such as . But I am not really convinced that either of those two tags is really needed there.

Q: What is the "Krein-Milman theorem for cones"?

Jonas MeyerUpdate: The question is completely answered. I had overlooked a reduction to the self-adjoint case, and the latter can be proved using a Hahn-Banach separation theorem. Thanks to Matthew Daws for first pointing this out to me. Thanks also to Willie Wong for pointing out that I should have aske...
