After seeing this question is thought that: "This is clearly a meta tag and those are discouraged." Adding n cat lab tag.
There are a number of assumptions here which are questionable, for example that there are restrictions on who can edit the nLab, or that MO is the best way to reach an nLab editor. Of course you are free to ask mathematical questions about nLab content at MO, and people frequently do this, but if what you really want is to reach an nLab author, then you should write to the nForum instead. — Todd Trimble ♦ 18 hours ago
@ToddTrimble I know that you are also involved in nlab :) Are you saying a tag for nlab is not a good thing here? — Praphulla Koushik 17 hours ago
There are a few meta tags that are tolerated, such as big-list. soft-questions and probably a few others that I do not recall from the top of my head, but it is probably not too good to add many others.
OTOH, maybe a difference which might tip the scales a bit in favor of this tag is the fact that there is an overlap in userbases. (Urs Schreiber was mentioned in the question, Todd Trimble mentioned that he is active there, probably there are others.)
Even if the tag is going to be created, it would need a good tag-wiki to clarify when it should be used - so that it does not end up as tag for any question that mentions nLab.
Perhaps a reasonable rule of thumb could be: Would feedback from editor of the linked nLab article be especially useful? Or in the other direction - could the answers posted to this question be useful for people who edit nLab? (In particular, the latter includes the situation where the post points out some possible problems or mistakes in a nLab article.) If the answer to either of the question is yes, then the tag might be suitable.
Still, if it is created, I'd guess that it might end up in a list of tags which are often used incorrectly: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/10243/2018/6/17
@ToddTrimble Maybe I am reading to much into your comment, but it seems to me that you see some possible arguments in favor of the tag and some against the new tag.
Depending how much time you are willing to spend of this, I think it might be useful if you could summarize what you think about positives and negatives of the new tag in an answer. (In this way, other users could comment on this input.) And it is also clear that answer from an nLab user carries more weight than from somebody who is not familiar with nLab.
And if you think it is useful, perhaps it could help to open a discussion about the tag on nForum - to see what users of that site think about this.
I will explicitly mention that this has nothing to do with the message I replied to. But since you weren't directly pingable, the only way to ping you in this room was using reply to a previous message.
And since I have already pinged you, I will also mention that I got your email. I apologize for not responding yet - I should probably collect my thoughts on this before I answer.
I hope to get around to it eventually - hopefully soon. (Although I am not sure whether I am able to be of much help regarding things you've mentioned there.)
BTW one advantage of you posting an answer would also be that a question would be a bit more favorable viewed by others if I high rep user shows at least some degree of support.

Perhaps this is a bit imprecise analogy, but the way in which the tag could potentially useful could be somewhat similar to mathjax.

Wittgenstein (PR 181) talks about a criterion of completeness for the irrationals. I am trying to understand what this might mean. Completeness of the reals, in the decimal number system, is the statement that every infinite decimal expansion represents a real number. It follows, I believe, tha...
I am not sure whether naming a tag after a person is a good idea. OTOH there already are several such tags.
There are several tags named after people. For example, erdos, bourbaki, ... A few similar tags I've mentioned some time ago:

It seems that noetherian falls into the same category as some other problematic tags - darboux, gaussian, dieudonne, hecke, belyi, riemannian. I have mentioned some of them before: https://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/10243/2017/11/30
