Recently the tag wiki for abstract-algebra was updated to mention universal-algebra. The edit summary was: added universal-algebra although it's not top-level: many questions about algebraic structures should fall here; mathoverflow.net/posts/233412/revisions mathoverflow.net/review/suggested-edits/93715
The tag-excerpt now reads:
> Deprecated; do NOT use this tag. Instead you could consider gr.group-theory, ac.commutative-algebra, ra.rings-and-algebras, universal-algebra, or various more specific tags.
