@FrançoisG.Dorais (or any other moderator) I have asked both on meta and here in chat a few times about deprecated tags and I do my best to edit them away from new questions or bumped questions, so that they at least do not grow.

I wondered whether it would be reasonable to add tag warnings for these tags. This might decrease the usage at least in new questions.

What do you think about this idea?

Should I suggest this in an answer to the meta post about tag warnings, so that other users can also vote on this? Or is it enough to ask mods here?

@MartinSleziak Francois may feel differently, but I think posting in meta sounds like a good idea. (By the way, I am making plans to get more involved with tagging issues, primarily writing tag descriptions for tags that really need them.)

Admittedly, with a rather simplistic suggestion - but I am not sure whether there is too much to add there.

At most, maybe the tag-warning could contain link to the tag-wiki, but I am not sure whether it is necessary.

Maybe some other users will have suggestions for tag-warnings, now that the question on meta has been bumped.
