Q: problem installing ajenti-v on ubunto server | ajenti-v: Depends: ajenti (> = 1.2.21.12) but it's not going to be installed |

Macedo_MontalvãoAjenti has been installed and is working correctly, but ajenti-v cannot be installed due to some incompatibility. ajenti install (problems with python-imaging are already solved, this is the first way out) :: Installing package Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Readi...

Which release of Ubuntu? Which version of ajenti? From which source?
both are in the latest version, ubunto in particular is ubunto bionic (18.4 lts)
I see a dependency for ajenti, but that's not necessarily the actual version you installed. Are the versions of ajenti and ajenti-v different? Please edit your question to clarify. Do not bury important information in comments.
I am following the documentation, I don't see how they would be different
Documentation? A link to that would be very helpful....

I already read and executed these commands, it does not work, because the package does not go to the "broken" list, the hole is lower ...
I think there may be a translation error in your previous comment, as it makes no sense in English. Fixing "held broken packages" is not difficult, but does require the version and documentation information I have asked for.
sudo apt-get install ajenti-v -v: apt 1.6.12 (amd64) Supported modules: *Ver: Standard .deb *Pkg: Debian dpkg interface (Priority 30) Pkg: Debian APT solver interface (Priority -1000) Pkg: Debian APT planner interface (Priority -1000) S.L: 'deb' Debian binary tree S.L: 'deb-src' Debian source tree Idx: Debian Source Index Idx: Debian Package Index Idx: Debian Translation Index Idx: Debian dpkg status file Idx: Debian deb file Idx: Debian dsc file Idx: Debian control file Idx: EDSP scenario file Idx: EIPP scenario file
That is the version of apt. Not helpful, sorry.
What information do you need? I can not provide much because it is a server in production.
I need a link to the instructions that you followed.
That is the apt manpage. Not helpful, sorry.
yes, I'm following her, another thing that I followed was also a topic, but I have to find the link, there suggested the use of apititude
Here is your first problem: The documentation says that Ajenti is provided by pip, not deb. Apt can only work with deb. Use pip tools to work with pip packages, use apt to work with deb packages. Try not to mix the two, or it makes a mess. So...Ajenti-v is not in this documentation, and looks like you are trying to install it using apt (instead of pip). What can you tell us about ajenti-v instructions, and why use apt for it?
look, there is only documentation about ajenti, the ajenti-v page is this: ajenti.org/#product-ajenti-v
Have you tried installing ajenti-v using pip instead of apt? Remember, try not to mix pip and apt - it makes a mess (exactly this kind of mess)

ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement ajenti-v (from versions: none) ERROR: No matching distribution found for ajenti-v
That looks like your second problem: ("from versions: none"). Comparing the install instructions and the list of things you did in your Question above, I don't understand how you got ajenti installed in the first place...or if it's even really installed at all. My advice is to pip-uninstall and apt-uninstall everything related to ajenti, then return to the ajenti install instructions, and to follow those instructions carefully. Use pip and apt properly, and don't mix them up. Others may chime in with a different opinion.
The only goal of ajenti-v is to get as close as possible to cpanel, ie allow the management of email accounts, dns, domain, files and etc. do you know anything better than this package in terms of compatibility? This is giving me a lot of work, I'm here for hours.
Sorry, no. I don't manage my servers that way. I'm a bit more old-school .
Alright, thank you very much for your help, you deserve the reputation you have.
