Insisting on purity of the syntactic definitions, as you seem to be doing, is a great way to make sure that the literature from the ivory tower diverges from actual practice and fails to accurately model it. If you're deliberately trying to kneecap the literature so it doesn't accurately model real-world security, say so. Accurate models are important,
