Regional culture is not a very strong indicator of moderating style. Luckily, we don't see much of Duterte in J.M. for example :D

@MarcoB thanks again MarcoB, you have set the bar high. I suppose the only thing that tipped the balance was the fact that people know me longer. Keep doing your good work :)

@Kuba @MarcoB Congrats to Kuba, but with @Verbeia having other commitments, I really wonder why we couldn't take both of you. With 24 to 22 votes it was a close call anyway.

Thanks to both candidates for running and congratulations to Kuba for winning.

@MarcoB It was an honest suggestion, because now, we have basically the same number of active mods than we had after the first election.

@Mr.Wizard "a group of users who would appear to have the time for this, i.e. some combination of consecutive visits, total visits, total posts and/or reputation, etc." - that's more or less what my "list" is, accounting for what I see to be really good traits that they have displayed while participating here.

@J.M. At least he could have had the decency to post it in form of a question.

If you have questions about the election process itself, please ask your question on the Mathematica Meta Site. Remember, folks stepping up to lead this community are committing a significant amount of their time, please keep all discourse civil and constructive.
