Code golf has definitely revealed a whole lot more about the world of programming to me than something like university might. If it wasn't for code golf, I wouldn't have learned things like functional programming, tacit programming, stack languages, community management, moderation skills (more than just diamond stuff, I mean like detecting spam and doing reviews in the queues), CI, Git, and more.

𝟬 Hi there hello, my name is lyxal, and today I will be explaining how binary works in roughly 4-5 paragraphs. So the first thing you want to know is that there are different number systems that we use to count things. Usually, we use base 10 because it's natural and it's just how we count. Numbers in base 10 include 5, 12, 850, 94237 and 69. Notice how all those numbers contain digits in the list [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0]. Those are the digits in the base 10 number system.

However, binary is different. It uses only the digits 1s and 0s to represent every single number. Well, kind of every si
