It was pretty much a PC, awesome out of the gate (especially after indies found out that since it was basically like Windows CE they could make games for the platform) had some awesome titles that were faar ahead of its time (I still want another Shemue) Hand nice low entry price making it very accessible it was great.

Sega never needs to make new hardware ever again.

Oblivion. I tell everyone that I hate Bethesda games but I got pretty far in that. I felt the game was pointless but the sheer scale of it kept drawing me in. It is addicting in a way.

Civilization series has really really good games but I end up hating them when I've been playing for 8 hours, not having much fun anymore, but still think "well, one more turn". What I mean is that I can tell the addicting aspect apart from the fun aspect, not that it's the game's fault in this case.

Its kind of like, "I am going to put this box of gold unguarded, and to unlock it, all a person has to do is to solve a maze on paper with a pen, how can I make my maze really hard to solve"

@TreDubZedd Though development has slowed down due to school, full time work, client contracting and some other stuff. I've been working on a platform kind of like steam to push games out on. And for people who operate around me, I am able to get people access to some of the resources that they may need for completing their project. Not currently able to give them a physical location but I'm working on it.

Another bullet point does help but voting down with a reason does help discourage behavior that people in the community don't like

The key is to understand how each works.

The “expert” part of that mission is important, otherwise we’re just building another place for the same questions that every other Q&A site has. We want the law Stack Exchange to attract lawyers, the movie Stack Exchange to attract filmmakers, and the aviation Stack Exchange to attract pilots. What makes a community great is great people... that is, real experts. And the experts want to hang out with other experts.

Apparently @WillihamTotland tricked my eyes in to thinking the badges were misaligned

Yes it is
Nov 4, 2010 20:45
Nah, it is, but it's one of those ripoffs that will end up being much better than the title being ripped off. At least I hope it will.

Not long, a couple of months. Learning Objective-C wasn't hard. Learning my way around Apple's API, and learning the release process was a bit harder...

Flyweight is a software design pattern. A flyweight is an object that minimizes memory use by sharing as much data as possible with other similar objects; it is a way to use objects in large numbers when a simple repeated representation would use an unacceptable amount of memory. The term is named after the boxing weight class. Often some parts of the object state can be shared and it's common to put them in external data structures and pass them to the flyweight objects temporarily when they are used. A classic example usage of the flyweight pattern is the data structures for graphical r...
