...and that does it for me, for tonight. Here is the new version, which I'm designating 1.0, as it's now in a state in which I would be comfortable publishing it. If anyone wants to give it another once-over for language, accessibility, design, content, vel sim., or to provide more footnote text for cited works, please either do so by the end of Monday or let us know that you are planning to do so soon after. I would like to get this out by the end of Tuesday, leaving two promotion weeks.

Incidentally, while you and I both are here, @Shokhet, I'd like to commend you on your sitewide helpfulness. Comments greeting newbies, edits clarifying posts, votes to close IIRC, other stuff. Y'yasher kochacha.

@Scimonster Great! (I was afraid that you were about to say "Wait! I have a bunch more corrections that I'll give you in the morning!")

FWIW, the view count on s.tk/miyodeya was 3704 when I edited it last night.

@Scimonster, thanks very much for the last round of corrections.

... and not yet a pumpkin. 8^P
Dec 1, 2014 14:35
@MonicaCellio Me either, which is why i think we should go with Chanukah - starting C; final H.
Nov 27, 2014 11:21
No complaints right now, but TRiG will probably tear apart the formatting and grammar.
Nov 22, 2014 17:37
@TRiG Yes, when we say Rashi to __ it means Rashi's commentary to __, but considering that we're aiming for people who aren't well-versed in Jewish jargon to be able to understand, perhaps this would be a welcome change.

@IsaacMoses wow, those are great! I don't see a christmas tree, for what that's worth. Possibly the flames/leaves could be a little bigger (try scaling this to the size you'll use on the page and then decide). If we want to unify the flame color then my first thought is yellow (that says flame to me more than red does), but either way please test for legibility with a B&W printout since I suspect not everybody will print in color.

Checked with Jin: so long as we use the real logo on the cover, it's ok to use the modified one inside.
Oct 23, 2014 15:34
@IsaacMoses will do. Most of the SE team is at a meet-up this week and seems to be keeping a hectic schedule there, so I will wait until early next week and then drop him a note to ask. (And I'm going to pin this as a reminder to myself to do so.)
Oct 23, 2014 15:07
@Scimonster You can ping him yourself by responding to one of his posts on Mi Yodeya Meta. I'm not committed to asking for Chanuka help, but if we do, I think it'd be impolitic to ask for something else simultaneously.
Oct 23, 2014 14:03
@Scimonster On a project with this small a team (thus far), adhering to process is much less productive than achieving consensus for making editorial decisions.

We may be slow sometimes, but the room is still relevant. :-)
