Q: Custom error-logging

GMBI'm writing a static class to log my application errors into a text file. I am planning on using this as a library on any application I intend to develop in the future. Please let me know how I can improve this more and what could be changed so it would perform better. public static class Logger...

@MathiasEttinger Well… it changes code…
Anyway. The question should be migrated to codereview.stackexchange.com which is more appropriate. — CodeNotFound 25 secs ago

@CaptainObvious Didn't pay much attention to the code before commenting, but what about the last string in each code blocks? Should we censor them?
and, to be honnest, I think > answer invalidation.
@MathiasEttinger IIRC we've not censored them in the past.

Q: Hierarchical k-ary tree in C without relying on RAM

AsicsI created a k-ary tree in C to be used as an easy and efficient way to organize "UML-like" data in embedded devices. The left node is at the lower logical level (a child) while the right node is at the same logical level but represent a different data or option (sibling). Since it is to be used ...

even though the second one is more addressed to the author of the code than its user
Time for a meta post, I guess .p
@MathiasEttinger My opinion is if someone wants to remove it, they should be able to. The only requirement from me would be to use a single method of censoring.
I was slightly sarcastic, tbh.
But now I know that a Samuel L. Jackson application cannot get reviewed :P

@Peilonrayz I’m not sure to understand what you mean by a single method of censoring
@MathiasEttinger If we have the text "ABC is a X", people will censor in different ways. "ABC is a", "ABC is a [removed]", "ABC is a [redacted]", "ABC is a [[removed]]". IMO there should be one way to censor.
I'm not happy with that either.
Great! Why?
Hey, I can only type so fast.
:P
Fair :)

When is a word worthy of being censored?
Regardless of the used censor method.
It's certainly the case if a user directly attacks other users or a group of users. But then the question should get flagged and deleted alltogether, right?
For example "here's how you do it correctly, you <strong explicit>", where "<strong explicit>" is a degrading explicit (you can think of one).
That's flag-worthy behaviour, right? We can of course change the answer/question, but that won't necessarily change the user behind the post.
That's a good point. I'm sure people will have differing opinions on that too.
I don't think we currently flag these comments in the code part of the question
But I'm not sure a flag would be great. It'd just mean that a moderator would have to remove the abuse. Why put that load on moderators?
I'm not talking about explicits in code, to be honest.
I don't have a problem with a program that calls me a "JavaScript loving developer" in a joking way. There are explicits that cannot get interpreted as joke, though, regardless whether they are in code or in the post.
See Hanlon's Razor: never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by [a joke].
@Zeta If it's not in the code it's against the be-nice policy. But I'm not sure if things in the code are affected by the same policy
I don't have time to write one right now, but this discussion surely belongs to meta rather than chat.
@Peilonrayz Because there is a flag for "Rude or abusive" content, exactly for cases where wasn't followed.
