so an octet counts the number of fingers --- 8
that's why we have 1 byte = 8 bits?

and decimal just counts the digitis

@Gao i have this funny image in my head of earlier computer scientists thinking on how many bits should be in a byte and one guy is counting with his fingers and they get inspired by that

not sure where it says that but assume that's true i guess her accession caused her body to start aging again since when she took Caliburn her body stopped aging at 14

some computer scientists must have realized if you count with your fingers, you should only count up to 8
hence the octal system
