I have a doubt: is there any way to pin point the questions which are unanswered, and is answered in comments instead? Off late many are pushed off the top list with answers in comments, which leaves it unanswered!

@JessePFrancis Have a look at this post:

Q: Dealing with answers in comments.

AryabhataI have noticed, of late, people providing answers/copious hints to the question in comments instead of actually adding an answer on their own. Other people might choose not to answer, as the question has already been answered, and it might offend the person who commented with the answer. In tim...

And maybe some of the posts linked there might be of interest, too: meta.math.stackexchange.com/questions/linked/1559
@JessePFrancis I have probably misunderstood you. You meant whether there is some way to find such questions?

@MartinSleziak yes! like this ( answers:1 isanswered:no hasaccepted:no closed:no ) search query in Crusade of Answers! Some way to pin point unanswered questions with "That solves my problem" or "Thank you" in comments
For example, this question had the answer in comments, (though no thank you-s), I just had to quote that comment in answer (CW), pushing it out of unanswered queue!

That sounds like a job for SEDE.
Let's hope Normal Human will notice your question. I would not be surprise if there already is some related query in some of his answers.
Or if you have some spare time you can try to create a query tailored for you needs.
But perhaps the first thing to do is to search a bit, to see whether you can find some similar queries.
Even if you do not find exactly what you need, it might help you to start your own query.
For example, this seems similar to what you suggested: Unanswered questions with a keyword in comment.
BTW I think this whole discussion would be more on-topic in crusade room.
(We can wait whether somebody will add some more advice here, then bookmark the conversation and post the bookmark in the other room.)
