i received an email from Canonical. ubuntu.com just launched a new design, they'd like ours to match their new design. nothing too major.
mostly in the header area.

SriranganI'm a user familiar with StackOverflow websites but it took me a while to locate the Ask Question button on AskUbuntu. Reason: Insufficient contrast (as can be seen below). A single grey / translucent back background should fix the problem.

@jokerdino that has been raised before. I think with the upcoming design changes, I will. The current AU site design was done by a Canonical designer back in 2010.
I may make Ask Question link part of the other top nav items. and give it a more prominent treatment.

@jokerdino I don't have a date. just received the email from them last week. the next step is they'll set up a meeting with me to go over the details.

@jokerdino i hope not. we don't do special htmls per site.. so there's only so much we can do on our end. mostly css skinning changes.
