Over the last two weeks, I've gotten a taste of what it's really like to be a moderator
Tedious, but rewarding
It gets really boring at times, but there's that sense of satisfaction you get when you catch a spammer red-handed

I've come to appreciate the power of the 10k tools
I've managed to exhaust my close votes for the day more than once even after hitting the 20-reviews-per-queue cap using the tools
...and I've also learned, after failing two review audits in a row, that you really have to put your heart into it and treat every review item with the utmost care

@DragonLord The whole model of SE is everyone is a mod.
A diamond mod is somewhat more special, but not particularly more so.
They technically aren't supposed to make any decisions on policy (though they do tend to have a bigger influence in meta).
