@sandwich Working on showing inactive reasons in metasmoke. Do you think that 3rd quartile + stddev on the deltas between successive posts would work?
@Undo why not make it a manual is_deactivated attribute?
^ Trial run with 3rd q. + stddev.
@Undo Don't scare me with that, I just checked if smokey was online/offline, :)
@Undo here's an idea - desaturate the colours, too, so they're just shades of grey
@ArtOfCode yeah, we could do that

@SmokeDetector Nice unicode usage, posible spammer
The green is #b7b7b7, orange #efefef, red #d8d8d8
@Undo There would be false positives for reasons that used to be very frequent but are less so now. Chinese character, for example.
Spam waves don't lend themselves well to statistical models.
Spam usually comes in waves, while false positives are usually more constant

I mean "false positives" in the sense of a reason being deemed deactivated when in fact it isn't.
Right
huh
maybe it has to be manual. Drat.
Orrrrrrr
Is there any way to make Smokey spit out a list of all the reasons it could possibly give?
I think one'd have to write some code for that, paying attention to fields "title", "username", "body", "questions", and "answers" in each method. Looks complicated.
@SmokeDetector f this reason isn't doing much
But again, because of wavy spam. Was added after a wave on Русский язык
But @hichris123 may have a better idea for generating the list of active reasons.
Is there a way of making smokey's !!/notify only add the mentioning code if the user who wanted it is online in that room at the moment of the spam message?
maybe, in some rooms
actually, it might work in all the rooms. Not sure.
@sandwich Maybe we could rip all the reasons out of that big array of dictionaries, then replace the {} with *. Then on the metasmoke side we could run them as regexes.
@Ferrybig I use it for the opposite reason: to make sure I don't miss any ES reports.
May 14, 2016 20:08
Except that'd break if we disable a reason on only questions, for example
@sandwich Yeah...
Another quick question, why can't smokey remove posts that are marked as f even if smokey is the room owner?
Even ROs cannot delete own posts beyond 2 min
@Ferrybig It does, when it can.
Still subject to the 2-min limit
Deleting without a time limit is a diamond thing.
May I know my feedback stats? How many valid/invalid?
May 14, 2016 20:13
2511 feedbacks, 7 invalidated (0.28% invalid)
Returning to retired reasons, I think @ArtOfCode had a good idea: don't hide completely. If no reports in 30 days, then fade out and sort to the bottom.
@sandwich Think 30 days is good enough?
That'd be much simpler to do
The idea is that if a report does come in eventually, the reason is back to normal.
So the time duration (30 or something else) is not so important.
Maybe 60.
Looking at the data you have (last report in each reason) should help.
^ 30 days
No changes by going to 60 days

@Undo Looks pretty good. "Hindi character" is actually still active, but the baba-spammer stopped. And we didn't have repeating words in title for a long time.
