Welcome to Project Update Thursday

I've got some stuff... my garbage disposal died so I'll be replacing that this weekend.
While I'm under the sink, I'm going to take the opportunity to replace my kitchen faucet of cutting out intermittently fame
Probably with this:
It's hard to find objective comparisons of pull-down, pull-out and standalone sprayer faucets.
And that's all I've got.

@NiallC. I'm personally a fan of the pull-out style for putting less wear on the hose (that's just a theory, no practical experience). It really depends on the style of your kitchen, mine is cramped so I looked for things that wouldn't make the space feel any smaller.
@BMitch Some of the stuff I've read online suggests that you have to change your grip between pulling the sprayer out of the faucet and using it. Do you find that too?
So, hand over the sprayer to grasp it, then switch to hand underneath for spraying
@NiallC. It depends on what you're spraying. If you're trying to fill a pot that's too large for the sink, then you just pull straight out. If I'm trying to spray the sink itself (washing off the back and sides), I tend to do a two handed operation to avoid kinking the hose.
My hand is typically over the sprayer, with fingers at the buttons to switch from spray to stream (I intentionally got one with buttons on the bottom where they are less visible)

Hmm... I'll have to play with them again when I go back to the store, and see which one feels more natural.
Forgot to mention, I also have an instant hot-water heater under there. It hasn't worked in quite a while so it'll be coming out too.
@NiallC. just as important as how it works is how it fits your home, find something that matches your style and space. If you're anything like me, it will spend a majority of it's time in the retracted position.
Thanks for joining us for this week's PUT
