8:07 PM
I've changed my system font from Cantarell to Roboto
OH NOOOOO PLACE DIED

.... Is your caps lock broken?
@mınxomaτ Yeah, that's what I figured. I went ahead and ordered it from them

8:26 PM
@DJMcMayhem no, but place is

I placed my sandbox in sandbox and got literally no feedback in 4 hours :P

8:43 PM
PowerShell currently winning codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/115117/59735 - that's not a common sight, someone go over and beat me with Pyth or something please.

CJam is at 62

Wow, I literally just golfed it to 62

damn, nice one

Wow, 70 -> 63 and 69 -> 62. You gotta squeeze 1 more byte out of it :P

8:48 PM
I could get 55 but the console refresh is instant, i'll see if the author will allow it since it's technically still printing the remaining time
by just removing sleep and running it as fast as possible

Oh, my answer has constant refresh like that too so I'm sure it's fine

you use `r to clear though?

I'm printing 12 backspaces

yeah it happens in the same print, mine is two separate instances
clears then prints

CJam has no way to clear the console

8:49 PM
for(){cls;(date 31/3/19)-(date)|% T* "ddd\:hh\:mm\:ss"} would be 65
but it's 100% invisible
same tick it writes it clears

It would count imo
It is visible

I really hope I don't have to change it to make it sleep

I changed mine to the 55 byte version

The only way to do that is to do a loop and keep checking the timestamp until it's 1000 higher than before

ouch
the author said : it only says that the display has to change every second. It's just that most answers will find it easier to run every second

8:56 PM
I've entered the Deep Web ... I'm on page 4 of search results

the main difference is just that i'm manually clearing and printing, whereas most others are 'replacing' the old text, so @DownChristopher it looks like i.imgur.com/BsRypcc.gif

@orlp IMO, Comcast is bad company based on universally bad customer service experience, which is only a problem because the products are universally broken. Those reasons seem like a valid reason to judge a company

I think if you don't find it on page 1 you should change your search terms, it gets dangerous past that point

@ConnorLSW yeah makes sense

@DownChristopher we're all for the theoreticals here, so i'll leave it for the moment unless the author says it's invalid.

8:58 PM
@Downgoat Really there's no reason to flag Downgoat's post, but Downgoat please keep the tone civil in here.

@AdmBorkBork yeah, you're right

@ConnorLSW I'm searching for the exact error message, though. :-/

@Downgoat That's the joke ...

Hey :)

In Australia, we have a universal distaste for Tesltra, as they own all the lines.

8:59 PM
My draft picks are all like:

@Downgoat I would say that the customer service representatives are the somewhat innocent ones in this.

We don't have to deal with Comcast and such.

@mınxomaτ 0/10 joke, message did not sound sarcastic

@AdmBorkBork what's failing?

9:00 PM
@ATaco God, I wish.

@Downgoat It did in context.

@ConnorLSW sql 2016 "the target principal name is incorrect" "cannot generate sspi context" ... some stupid Kerberos authentication issue

Telstra isn't any better though.

I'll pick it back up again tomorrow. That's enough for today.

Guys can you stop arguing about stupid things about different companies?

9:01 PM
@AdmBorkBork saw that recently enough, I think a restart of the instance fixed it though

I'm not arguing.
Down here it's that or nothing.

@ATaco never said you were

My apologies, thought that was directed towards myself.

@AdmBorkBork we'd changed a few service accounts on a big DB and those errors popped up the day after, similar situation?

@ATaco Nah you aussies are stuck with testra

9:02 PM
Save us.

How slow?

Whatcha guysn talking 'bout?

Right now I'm at 400kBs.
When I'm downloading I'm lucky to get 1.8mBs

@ATaco What ISP?

Telstra.
Who, as I said before, own the lines.

9:04 PM
@ckjbgames Internet service provider
What the

@ATaco "At Least It's Not Comcast"

My computer lagged as I typed that and never typed

@DownChristopher lol
@DownChristopher what were you gonna say

@ckjbgames It almost crashed

@DownChristopher Ok

9:06 PM
I can't imagine Comcast is any worse than Telstra.

@ATaco I looked at the website and I feel bad for you :(
@ATaco AFAIK Comcast is pretty good
Satellite internet looses it all tho

I heard Telstra bought a contract to deliver line upgrades to all of Aus, then they took the money and did nothing?

We do have the NBN (National Broadband Network) coming soon.

or rather 'began the planning phase'

Actually, I should be getting it down here this year.
But, as I live in a rural area, it's taken us two years.

9:07 PM
Heh

Also, NBN is in-fact not Optic Fibre.

We get 1.5 mbs exactly and always
We may get fiber soon

mb or mB?

@ATaco bit

That's, even worse than me.

9:08 PM
@DownChristopher oh my

@DownChristopher @BasicSunset - author confirmed the no-wait version is good, so PowerShell is winning by 7 bytes!

@ATaco yeah

@ConnorLSW No, this is a brand new install. The account is used for other instances with no issue. The SPNs are registered correctly, SQL logs confirm that. DNS and AD are OK, the password is OK, etc. Likely will have to make a call to Microsoft tomorrow (yay).

When you've worse internet than an Aussie there's an issue.

comcast gets 120mbps but it hardly ever works, but still

9:09 PM
@ATaco Tell me about it

@AdmBorkBork Premier Support are really really fun...

If you're using an ISP Router, change to Google Router.

@ConnorLSW By 4 now

@ATaco idk what we have as a router :P but everything is connected via Ethernet so it doesn't matter

@BasicSunset Martin to the rescue, I'd be very surprised if PS stays at the top.

9:11 PM
@ConnorLSW Oh, always. :-\

I don't see any way to get it shorter though

@ATaco If I watch youtube I watch in 360p on a massive screen

The fact that PS has date objects puts it at a big advantage

The us made a space plane called "Dyna Soar"

@BasicSunset Over CJam and some others for sure, I believe there's a few golf languages with similar handling though.

9:14 PM
Maybe Japt can beat it. It has dates

And Scott Manly made a flying dinosaur youtu.be/g3pEPeYc70E?t=1m11s

But I'm not sure how well it handles the constantly updating output thing

xkcd updated its footnote. The new one reads:
> xkcd.com is best viewed with Netscape Navigator 4.0 or below on a Pentium 3±1 emulated in Javascript on an Apple IIGS at a screen resolution of 1024x1. Please enable your ad blockers, disable high-heat drying, and remove your device from Airplane Mode and set it to Boat Mode. For security reasons, please leave caps lock on while browsing.

PowerShell normally wouldn't come close, the new |% trick codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/111526/59735 has really helped

9:32 PM
@BasicSunset Beat what now?
