@ArtOfCode if you manage to tweak smokey so that it skips non-reports when sd feedback is given (so no conflicts), then it should be fine to reinstate the chat indication

@angussidney Eh? How do you mean?

For example

I have an idea

@ArtOfCode [:12345678] That message is not a report.

If smokey posts a report for some spam, then someone flags it and smokey posts a chat indication that it has been automatically tpu-ed

11:08 AM
FR: Before submitting the chat notifcation, check if the post that notifcation is for has <1 feedback. If so, don't send the chat notification.

@TIPS 31543854, actually.

@ArtOfCode Shrug

if I type sd k, it says that the last message was not a report (since it was acually an auto indication)

@Magisch so you mean only send the report for the first feedback and ignore subsequent?

@ArtOfCode Yes

11:09 AM
@ArtOfCode Only the chat notification

Yeah, that

And then you have the multiple chat room problem again

So that if someone sd ked it manually before or there was another automated feedback before there is none
so that every report gets at most 1 chat notifcation, and only if the post wasn't otherwise fed back on before

@ArtOfCode it's a little complicated my idea, so I might write up an issue explaining it on GH

sure, go for it
@Magisch yeah, I like that
Also need to consider the wording of the message itself.

11:11 AM
It serves the purpose of letting people know there has been feed back
but doesn't clutter
@ArtOfCode How about "[SD] <feedback> fed back by <user> on <short link to post on site>"

@Magisch yep, works for me

@FrankerZ You can re-feedback, and I was told that overwrites.

If it helps in future, can I suggest familiarizing yourself with this guidance

12:11 PM
@TIPS When I did it, it showed both feedbacks in metasmoke

I'm not worried about it =)

@ArtOfCode Consolidated Feedback page between Account and chat user. Switching feedback recordings over to chat user ID (so that name changes don't break it) (can still display current name) A way to retract feedback if its been under 5 minutes since you gave it.

@ArtOfCode The one I mentioned earlier about conflicting feedback. If one happens, it would be nice to have the ability to undo a feedback. (The later one should override the first).
Perhaps maybe a delay before the "Conflicting Feedback" to come into chat

From my 11(12?) invalid feedbacks so far, at least 6 of them were errors where I miscklicked or smokey blindfired me. I would like to have the ability to undo that feedback instead of waiting for an admin to laugh at my sillyness

@ArtOfCode Smokey already has my chat user ID (from the privilege globalvars.py)

@Magisch it does, but it doesn't have a mapping to your username

Just make a mandatory field for a MS account your chat.SE user ID

@Magisch that's not secure, though. You could put in 121520, and suddenly you're me

Who says that I should be able to set that

@ArtOfCode Does auto feedback blacklist a user?

@Ferrybig good question. I think no.

@Ferrybig User is blacklisted (190055 on english.stackexchange.com).

1:19 PM
but that user was already blacklisted

I just realised that....

@Ferrybig User is not blacklisted (55994 on workplace.stackexchange.com).

I think the feedback should blacklist the user, or the feedback fed to metasmoke should change into a "tp-" (from "tpu-") to make it more consistent

@Ferrybig Yeah, I'd like it to blacklist. I just don't know how to do that Smokey-side.
@SmokeyDevelopers: How do I add a user to the blacklist in the code?

Is smokey using a SQL database for its backend?
Or flatfile?

1:24 PM
Just files

@Magisch Would like to, but need a good way to associate an account with metasmoke
Which might be possible to do securely, actually

@undo Like I said, a field that only admins can fill with the chat.SE user ID
So every active MS account gets a chat.SE user ID

Too manual. Pretty sure we can do this automatically

@undo you lowercased your username

I did.

1:26 PM

Why is that too manual? You already have to manually approve accounts for review

I'm sorry, you kinda asked for it.

Btw @ArtOfCode if we flag a post as spam or naa with the userscript, that automatically generates tpu- or naa- feedback. But is there any way to feed back "f" through the script?

@ByteCommander No. This is marked f (and was already marked)

@ByteCommander not right now, no. Still gotta do that in chat.

@ArtOfCode You could add a button below the red/green tp/fp counter you embed in the flag dialog.
