@Undo I can help...when I get home from vacation. I'm in the middle of nowhere with spotty cell coverage at best. I see this was sent earlier this morning. It just came through...to give you and indication of how amazing the coverage is. Remind me in a week and I'll do what I can.

@Undo I think it would be a good idea if the feedback validation is inline with the sites rulings on the feedback. So if site deletes something with spam or abusive flags, that the MS feedback is consistent with that, I've noticed they are not always consistent and it's confusing and also allows for too much sway with personal opinion rather than a community consensus. cont..
... I understand smokey is not an SE thing per se, but we are using the laws that govern SE to detect what is spam, offensive or NAA @BrockAdams fyi

@SmokeDetector maybe this should be room specific?

@SmokeDetector f

3:34 AM
@Yvette If it was up to me, anything worse than "Shucks!" would be offensive and George Carlin's "seven dirty words" would be verboten. #$@%&! kids these days, ain't got no manners! ;)
But, yes, if the flag was valid, the tpu should be valid, IMO.

@BrockAdams I agree, I swear like a trooper at home, but can mind my ps and qs where necessary and it's a talent that seems to be ever decreasing.

@Yvette Ironically, I've been both a sailor and a trooper. And we swore. But never anywhere near as bad as the general pop, or even the kids at the local middle school. As Mark Twain said, "fun" words should be cherished and reserved for special occasions. :)

@BrockAdams now I'm curious to ask how old you are. A trooper, a sailor, a programmer and a spam foo fighter
and I do have to say I'm a gratuitous swearer at home. secret confessions in a public chat site

I try to guard my online identities, so I will just say that I'm beyond 40.

@BrockAdams well I've been open about mine and I turned 49 last week sob

3:46 AM
Sorry for the sob. Sounds like you are dreading the big 50. But it'll be okay as long as you still have your knees. (Uh..., so I heard)

@BrockAdams yeh I haven't taken too kindly to losing the health and strength that usually comes with youth

Yeah, that part's no fun.

I like the not worrying about what other people think part that's good

Ah, I never did that. Wired differently. Have to work to consider the other guy's feelings. :(

@BrockAdams no I don't mean being considerate I mean worrying about fitting in
@SmokeDetector f
that question is hopelessly off topic and needs to be deleted

4:00 AM
@Yvette Can't. It has a bounty. :(

@BrockAdams a lot can be lost in the translation of expression in chat like this and it's a challenge working remotely as I do

@BrockAdams finished in 2 hours, I've bookmarked it to flag it

@Yvette True. That's why remote workers should also video conference in at least once a week and chat misunderstandings are common. I personally avoid chat, as a time waster, except when I have time to kill waiting for other things...

@BrockAdams yes we have decided to vid conference three days a week for that reason
and we work in diff countries, it's like SO

4:04 AM
@Yvette Sounds like you might have a more enlightened employer...

@BrockAdams well I'm the boss for one of the contracts :D and the guy I work with is awesome
we share our contracts
and subbies
I talk to clients on the phone

@Yvette Always best to like coworkers. (I'm talking to you, Steve.) :)

Hey
I've started taking part in the fun that are the mod tools. I'm starting to think that it might be of use if I could report posts to Smokey. Is there by any chance a configuration whereby I can report posts but be ignored feedback-wise?:) I'm never sure about proper feedback, and I regularly miss when I try to guess.
I would feel safer if I were explicitly unable to give feedback, and in this case I'd like to ask for this restricted set of privileges
I should also note that I've misjudged borderline spam posts (in the false-positive direction) twice in the past, Undo saw both.

@AndrasDeak Partial privileges aren't really a thing, but you could always just not post feedback if you're not confident
(afk)

that was my suspicion
waaait, bad feedback causes ignore by Smokey, right?:D
can't it be set up manually?
